Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in the spirit of things, and now it is time for you to post until the spirited cows come home.

Good morning, all.

Today I will not only be out and about, here and there, and hither and yon -- I'll also be running to and fro.

Oh yes, it's a Monday!

Those are the SAME places I'm going!  Perhaps we'll run into each other!

TOD:

I love cult films, but there are definitely some that qualify for the TOD.  If only I could think of what they are.

I can say that I never, not once, not ever, attended a midnight showing, or any other showing, of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.  Which isn't to say I don't like the material or the film.  I still have the big box laserdisc set, and the Blu-ray, so even though I haven't seen it in who knows how long, I do tip my hat to it.  But as a public cult phenomenon, I abstain.

Let's see.  What else?

HAROLD AND MAUDE?  Except that after all these decades, I'm warming up to it.
REEFER MADNESS?  Yes, I get it.  I just can't sit through it.
THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE?  I've probably gotten through it at some point, but ..... eh.

Good morning, all! I slept very well, and the Flexerill kept the nerves very calm last night so I fell asleep immediately.

I'll shortly leave for physical therapy. When I get back, I need to check bathroom ceiling status with my super. Then, I must call my barber about a haircut, call the Cole Porter Trust about my full scores for JUBILEE, and do some more work on the orchestrations for the Cincinnnati medley. If I can play my schedule correctly, depending on the ceiling issue, I could get my hair cut tomorrow morning, then visit Roberta at the Porter Trust, and then perhaps have lunch with her.

And now the time has come for me to take my leave, for a day of E&Tness involving musically oriented but annoying shlepping.

Be back late this evening.  VIBES for a good day all around for all concerned!

TOD:

THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE

I know, it's John Ford, John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart...and everybody considers this to be one of the great classic Westerns.

But, the direction and script are sloppy; the cast is too old for their roles.  If it wasn't for the final "Print the legend" line, this film would be virtually forgotten.

Monday morning greetings!  Thank you, all, for the vibes from last night.  They helped and my back is much better this morning - not totally pain free, but at least I can get up from a chair without screaming in agony.

After 3 different trips in 3 and a half weeks, I have just put away my travel gear for a while.  I love to travel, but this has been a bit much in such a short period of time.  Maybe that's why my back hurts?

Hope all DR"S had a wonderful Easter.

Our families went to The Roycroft In in  East Aurora, NY for brunch.

The food was very good and the Restaurant is indeed charming and historic.

Later on we went to my Son Matt's and his wife Sarah's house in Hamburg for Dinner.  It was very nice, and again we had a great meal.
