Well, you've read the notes, the notes were May-like, and now it is time for you to post until the May cows come home.  Of course, their month of May is the month of MOO.

Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That lovely month when ev'ryone goes
Blissfully astray.
Tra la! It's here!
That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts
Merrily appear!
It's May! It's May!
That gorgeous holiday
When ev'ry maiden prays that her lad
Will be a cad!
It's mad! It's gay!
A libelous display!
Those dreary vows that ev'ryone takes,
Ev'ryone breaks.
Ev'ryone makes divine mistakes
The lusty month of May!

Whence this fragrance wafting through the air?
What sweet feelings does its scent transmute?
Whence this perfume floating ev'rywhere?
Don't you know it's that dear forbidden fruit!
Tra la la la la! That dear forbidden fruit!
Tra la la la la!

GUENEVERE & CHORUS:
Tra la la la la [etc.]

GUENEVERE:
Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That darling month when ev'ryone throws
Self-control away.
It's time to do
A wretched thing or two,
And try to make each precious day
One you'll always rue!
It's May! It's May!
The month of "yes you may,"
The time for ev'ry frivolous whim,
Proper or "im."
It's wild! It's gay!
A blot in ev'ry way.
The birds and bees with all of their vast
Amorous past
Gaze at the human race aghast,
The lusty month of May.

CHORUS:
Tra la! It's May!
The lusty month of May!
That lovely month when ev'ryone goes
Blissfully astray.
Tra la! It's here!
That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts
Merrily appear.
It's May! It's May!
The month of great dismay.

GUENEVERE:
When all the world is brimming with fun,
Wholesome or "un."

GUENEVERE & CHORUS:
It's mad! It's gay!
A libelous display!
Those dreary vows that ev'ryone takes,
Ev'ryone breaks.
Ev'ryone makes divine mistakes
The lusty month of May!

I am not happy with the times in which we are living.....particularly....the lack of critical thinking.

And also - the polarization of politics. It is impossible to have a political discussion today because no one is in the middle any more [well some are] the "other side" is entirely responsible for every bad thing that has happened or is happening.  And all the candidates seem to run on the premise that "I'm bad, but the other guy is worse!"  As Roseanne once said: The only time politicians are telling the truth is when they're calling each other liars.

I hate that every kid is "Special" and has to be treated with kid gloves and catered to.  This is the parents' fault, not the kid's.

I will stop there....but that is just the beginning.

Of course there are also TONS of things to LIKE about our times.  The good people, though rare, are really GOOD!

Good morning, all!  I slept poorly, I'm unhappy to say, but I am moving.

I will shortly be on a bus to Radio City, where my barber may be found, for a haircut. Following that, I will head down to Toyland, finish my chart and photocopy it before I return home.

We've had rain all night, but it seems quiet for the nonce. For those of you, where the storms are internal or external, I send this:

I agree,DR JRand63! I'd add that while there is much of "social media" I detest, like the 99% of morons who walk about watching a phone rather than where they are walking, I am so glad that I can be connected so quickly to so many excellent friends around the globe.

This sums it up quite well.

I'd add, that people can wreak havoc on the net - anonymously - with other people's livelihoods and lives, and the venues they are on  (from Talkin Bway to DataLounge all the way up to Twitter) finds it worthwhile to actively protect their identities no matter how destructive or vicious.

Thursday morning greetings!  It's a beautiful May morning here in SW Ohio and I'm easing into the day.  My plan is to be home all day, writing for this month's AAUW newsletter and cooking a nice pork roast dinner for us.
