I don't mean to say it didn't go well - it was fine for the singers - they were great and the songs are all stellar - it was just the MD problems that were problems and hopefully we've now solved them. Luckily, whenever I'm told something was right when I know it wasn't, the singer has a recording and we play it and guess what - it wasn't right - then we adjust. If I hear anything untoward at the sound check we'll still have time to adjust it. As much as I love our MD, this will, I think, be his last time with us and I think he'll be thrilled with that news.
