How does the London cast recording of IRMA (with Seal and Michell) compare with the Broadway version?

(I just ordered it.)

I wonder if DR John G. is enjoying himself a LI'L libation.

(EDIT)  Or perhaps a not so LI'L one.     :)

Without a doubt.  I keep this clip on my favorites, so I can pull it up whenever I need a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

There are some different lyrics and changes in the arrangements. The OLC also includes Irma's 2bd act reprise of :Language of Love" and around 19 tracks of French recordings of the score.

The Negroni was lovely.

I learned of a variation that must be tried, only not tonight. Use bourbon instead of gin in a Negroni and call it a Boulevardier. Cause Kentucky is so French, you know. We got a town called Versailles. (That pronounced Ver-sails -- or Ver-sail-ese, if you live there.)

Well, wait a minute.  Wouldn't that pretty much equate to a Bourbon Manhattan?

Starting to watch "The Sorrow and the Pity," which came in today at the library. 250 minutes of French WWII history. Maybe I can get through 40 minutes a day for a few days. It's wonderful, but it's not what I need tonight.

I only looked at Wiki.  One to one to one?  A whole part BITTERS?  Can that be right?

By bitters, they mean Campari or an amaro, not Peychaud's bitters.

Back from our usual Thursday production meeting at two, after which I just had to hang around until five for our rehearsal.  Said rehearsal was terrific tonight.  We especially walked the ballet now that all the risers and stair unit is in, and I think there's only one bit that's going to have to change, although the two actors involved are going to work on it carefully and see if we can make it work within the sixteen bars they have to do it.

Tonight's "Chamber Music" went well.  We only had about 15 people, but they all enjoyed it very much.

After tomorrow night's show, we're going to have a cast party!  Since the show is only an hour long, we can get started earlier than usual and stay out longer without being out later.
