For Mother's Day - The song A MOTHER from Skip's show HERRINGBONE (by Tom Cone, Skip Kennon & Ellen Fitzhugh)

(here sung by John Jellison in a demo)

Any idea when the recording with BD Wong will be released? I put money into it on Kickstarter.

Yes, it will be released Sept. 8 of this year, according to this post.

About halfway to church, Richard looked over at me and said, "Where's your Mother's Day present?"

I said, "Where IS my Mother's Day present?"

He said, "It's at home in my desk!"

Well, it's around my neck now - a beautiful, delicate necklace of multi-color stones that I admired in a downtown gallery a week or so ago!

That's lovely!

I am home from Toyland. I got a lot of things accomplished, and i am quite tired. I have to be up at 6:00 tomorrow morning to make my 9:00 eye appointment that was canceled last Monday. Then, I will grab a taxi and head to Trinity Church for our first rehearsal for Thursday's performance.

For now, i'm going to find some dinner, and chill out.

Fred, great song!  But when I clicked on the link for the YouTube video, I got the message:  "An error occurred, please try again later. Learn More"  I was able to download it as an .mp4 file and listen to it that way, but I couldn't watch it directly from YouTube.  I hope it's only a temporary glitch.

Well, "Chamber Music" is over.  We had our last two performances last night and they went quite well.  The 8PM show was videotaped (with two cameras!), but the camera men hadn't seen the show and they were just panning back and forth and in and out on their own, so they missed a lot of moments that didn't happen when other people were talking.  That's too bad, but what can you do.  I think that they were doing it for free, so that's cool.

Yesterday afternoon before "Chamber Music," a couple of friends and I went to see "A Room With a View" in Seattle...my second time!  It was better the second time, partly because of no interruptions (the reason we got to see it this time for free).  I really like this show and hope that it goes beyond Seattle.  I don't doubt that it will.  The music and lyrics were written by Jeffrey Stock (who wrote "Triumph of Love") and the book was by Marc Acito.  Highly recommended. ;D

I had the same problem, even after several attempts.

Nice to see that LACC has the LI'L ABNER information up on their site. I've been telling friends about it, but didn't have the details.

Fred, I've gotten that message before, but usually if I wait a bit I can then view the video. This time that didn't happen. Server issue at YouTube? I'm just guessing now.

I didn't get home last night until a little before midnight, so I pretty much went right to bed.  I have caught up with today's posts, but none from yesterday.  I'll do that after I get back from my parents' house.  We're all getting together for Mother's Day celebrating soon.  I need to take a shower, shave, and leave.

Have a good day, all!

Trying to post a Mother's day photo.  I'm not sure what that is on my head - a yarmulke, maybe?

Another lovely photo.
