Oy! I got to the bus stop, realized I was going to be sick, and came home. I just canceled therapy, and i am not leaving the apartment.

Damnation!

Feeling better vibes for DR ELMORE.

Thanks, everyone.  Yes we all had a good time and I am looking forward to Performance Two.

DR TCB for some reason, I thought you were there....I was watching on the monitor so maybe you just willed yourself there.  I am sorry to hear about your friend....but that song certainly does speak to everyone.....

I still buy Pepsodent toothpaste, every now and then. Not the powder, however.

That Quilted Northern toilet paper ad with the lady hanging her washed toilet paper out to dry really disturbs me. Oy!

Given the fact, too, that she sounds overdubbed, it's even creepier.

TOD:

Now that I have my TV picture looking so swell, I have returned to watching the remainder of episodes of JULIA. Will likely watch more this weekend.

That last two episodes had an actress by the name of Diana Sands playing Julia's cousin who comes to LA to work in pictures. I have probably seen Diana Sands in things before (she has a ton of tv credits), but this is the first time I really 'noticed' her. What a wonderful actress!

Sadly, she died of cancer just two years after appearing on JULIA. Way too young.

One of those things is to continue selling things on Ebay and Craigslist. I am determined to get my savings back to where they were before I bought the new tv and new tv stand. Since I am now credit cardless, I don't feel secure unless I have enough in savings for a rainy day...which we have a lot of here in the Pacific Wonderland.

It's bad enough that I'm suddenly under the weather, but I'm dealing with Man from Philadelphia madness as well. I deserve sainthood.

Thank you, DR singdaw! I know I'm not walking around as a sane person, but it's always nice to find that on a scale of 10 for insanity, I'm probably not higher than a 2 or 3. On a scale of 10, the Man from Philadelphia on some days is around 25-50.

Car diagnostics got done, but they need to order a part so the work can't be done till next week.  Security system problems were due to the driver's door latch needing replacement.  $400, people.  Four hundred smackers.  Also, the gas door (I think that's what they call it, the flap that opens up to the gas filler upper) wasn't always opening when I pulled the switch inside the car, and a solenoid will be replaced.  And the hand brake cable needs an adjustment.  Oy!

I can't say I'm feeling insecure, but last week on Facebook Sally Mayes posted a photo of her Comden & Green album and raved about Patrick Brady's arrangements, and today John Boswell praised Alex Rybeck's arrangement of "My Heart Is So Full Of You" for Liz Callaway.  Neither jerk mentions the fact that without my orchestrations, those albums would be voice and piano. What's even more infuriating is that neither Liz nor Alex ever mentions the fact that slowing the song down to an adagio was my idea after hearing their original version.

And on that note, i'll go back to the unemployment line.

Friday morning greetings!  I've been awake since about 5 this morning, up since 6.  Just couldn't sleep, so I finished reading Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed.  I've been listening to it on my basement walks, but checked out a library copy of the book for the map.

Did you think of us?
