I have begun to unfriend anyone who posts articles that are overt lies (stupidity does run rampant and it takes all of four seconds to verify the lie via google) or, more importantly, ANYONE who posts a photo of violence of any sort. The most recent one that's making the rounds is of two Indian teen girls who were gang raped and hung from a tree. An outrage? Of course. Worth linking to an article? If that's what makes you feel people will become more aware of what's happening elsewhere in the world, although this is not peculiar to India - I do believe we have had serial killers here who have done that and much worse - but my point is how DARE anyone post a photo of it on a public site that kids read. And one idiot woman actually was arguing that kids need to see it - I suggested therapy for her. No kids don't need to see it and guess what - I don't need to see it either. I recommended she print it out and put it on her car like a bumpersticker for everyone to see. Facebook is like grammar school - people just behave like complete twits. I've unfriended the woman (a singer yet) who shared the photo, and will continue to do it whenever I see something on my newsfeed that I find wrong and that includes everyone's favorite outrage photos of animal cruelty, half of which aren't even real. I has spoken.
