Why is HEDWIG considered a Revival when it has never been on Broadway before.  When LITTLE SHOP was on Broadway a few years back, was it also considered a Revival?

Yes. The rules were changed that year. So, they're now considered classics if there's been a few years since a show first appeared.

So, how are the Tonys?  In general?

Mixed as usual with good moments and a few embarrassing ones. Not as bad as the Oscars by a long shot.

What did they do to the Music Man?

This must be one of those embarrassing moments Elmore was talking about

Well, that tells me who won :)  That's two huge flop shows of his that have won him a Tony.

The rules were changed some time ago.  The Broadway runs weren't the first major productions, and they both even had movies made.  Now, a show that has been around for a long time can be considered a revival, even though it's the first time that it's on Broadway.

It's a miracle so many people survived that accident, Cillaliz.

They had 25 minutes warning as the plane did right turns and circled it's way to the airport.  And the emergency personnel from the area were all prepared. Since they had done a drill 2 years earlier, they all knew what to do.   The hospital was just changing shifts, so they kept everyone there and others came in  They had enough people to put a doctor a nurse and someone else...maybe an intern or something on each person as they came in.  So there was triage at the airport and a doctor the second they got to the hospital who stayed with the patient until they were where they needed to be for the treatment they need.  It's an amazing story.

The pilots lost all hydrolics which isn't supposed to ever happen so no one knew what to do.  There was a DC-10 training pilot on board so the four members of the crew had to use the throttles to guide the plane down.  No one has ever been able to replicate it in a simulator.  They don't make it to the airport.  It's amazing all 4 men in the cockpit survived.

New script and songs for the live version. Plus the old songs.
