I did not catch up yesterday after signing off (no point since I didn't watch the Tony's) and hope I didn't miss anything.

Well, considering that Kevin announced his engagement to Barbra Streisand; I would say, yes, you missed something!

After reading a comment I did check out DR Cilla's post:

Actually I'm not sure there was a lot of time to be that sad, there was also an asthma attack, a car accident, two drunk women who fell on water in the bathroom resulting in a trip to the ER at 3:30 AM and 9 stitches in a forehead, a grandson who's flight was cancelled from Atlanta to Sioux Falls and he was re-routed to Minneapolis, so there was a late night 6 1/2-7 hour round trip drive to get him so he would be there in time for the funeral..... Let's just say it was quite an eventful gathering.  It was just one thing after another and we ended up laughing a lot.

Oh my!

And.....Randy, who had the flight issues...missed his flight home and ended up staying an extra day....it just goes on and on

Sounds like Randy has a problem with punctuality.

Well, in all fairness, his flight on the way up was cancelled.  For the return flight, he was sitting at my brother's house and looked at his ticket and noticed that his flight was leaving in an hour an 20 minutes, from an airport an hour and a half away.  Not going to make that one.

And so to bed. Tomorrow, before I have physical therapy, I have to make  trip to the Raines' apartment building and pick up a set of my apartment keys they were holding, then go to therapy, and then meet my friend Arlo for coffee.  Retrieving the keys will close one chapter of this former relationship.

Then, I can finish ROBERTA, leave Toyland, and close that chapter. Scary.

Good morning, all! I very much enjoyed the Tony Awards with major exceptions, but I have to say it really offends me when the band starts playing to tell a winner to get off the effin stage yet we had to put up with two rather poor numbers from shows that may never get to Broadway next year. It reminded me of aTpny broadcast around 1981, when a Jule Styne song from "Treasure Island" was performed. Well, I'm still waiting for that show!

I vaguely remember that.  But I very distinctly remember Maureen McGovern singing "Tell Me on a Sunday" from the show to open the next season, "Song & Dance."
There were there previews that time with the three composers each at a grand piano. Who was the third?

cy coleman playing a song from "13 Weeks To Broadway"  the song was Hey You In The Back Row.  I may have the titles slightly askew but they are closes.

BTW The way the show never made it to Broadway

BTW BTW

This was a musical that based on a musical that closed on the road called "Home Again, Home Again" which was also know as "Home Again" that closed in Toronto.

Thank you. Wonder if either Last Ship of Finding Neverland will make it to Bway.

Tuesday morning is our trash and recycling pick-up, so Richard and I just hauled a mountain of stuff down to the curb.  In the process, I found a couple of Rob's toys in the garage that I've cleaned up and will take to the garage sale tomorrow.  We are also going to Dayton tomorrow to donate a carful of business-appropriate men's and women's items to Clothes That Work.

We are very thankful to Rob and Mary Linda for the incentive to do all this purging!

Could you ask Rob and Mary Linda if they would move in with me?  I don't have an upstairs, but I have a second bedroom that needs purging.

Please excuse me if this was mentioned yesterday, but I haven't started to look at yesterdays posts.

Didn't anyone notice the Chris O'Dowd (Best Actor nominee) when he lost, he took a swig from a flask?

Yes, I saw that.  Well, it is a long damn walk back to the lobby.
