Well, you've read the notes, the notes reeked of notes, and now it is time for you to post until the reeking cows come home.

Good morning, all! I was awake quite early, and I want to head down to Toyland very shortly.  I will pick up a IPS delivery that should be waiting in the office next to us, and head back uptown.  I'm hoping I see the super because  I am going to contact the management of the building this afternoon. At this point my good intentions of resolving this amicably are fading fast.

I am not looking forward to this because the super has an ugly temper that I experienced about five years ago when he was subbing for his father-in-law while he was on vacation. That's why I say, if something bad happens to me this week, ignore all of the usual suspects and cherchez le super.

DR cillaliz, I hope your father has a great birthday!

DR elmore3003  - in that case, is it wise to get on the super's bad side?

One of the scariest films on par with The Haunting (original). One of the best performances by Deborah Kerr. In case people don't know the film is based on The Turn of the Screw

Is The Miracle Worker consider biographical? If it is then it's my favorite. The best scene is where Annie gets Helen to eat with a spoon. Virtually wordless it is a mesmerizing scene. Imagine doing that scene eight times a week!

Good morning, all.

I am trying like crazy to remember the main dream I was having.  I don't think it had a damned thing to do with Real Life, but it was certainly interesting.  Or at least in an interesting locale that I believe I created.  You never know.  It's trying to break through right now, so I'm hopeful I'll have it back in my possession before long.

Otherwise, I woke up feeling like the proverbial truck had run over me.  It seems to have been due to the way I had my pillows bunched up.  So, that should pass.

Coffee!

Believe me, I am indeed worried about it, and since he's got a set of my apartment keys, it does scare me since I've had the impression a couple of times that someone's been in my apartment.  Still, today is exactly three months since the ceiling fell in on March 17, and it should have been repaired two months ago.  At this point, he's jerking me around. I think he's also avoiding me.

Yes!  I have the UK Blu-ray which I haven't even watched yet.  Shame on me.  I'm taking that off the shelf and putting it on the top of the stack.

Here is another that should be cause for much rejoicing in these quarters:

The film I wish Criterion would address is La Kermesse Heroique (CARNIVAL IN FLANDERS), which needs new unexpurgated, easy-to-read subtitles and a general cleanup. I love the film.

DR Elmore -- Is the BFI release (DVD) all that's available right now?  Is there a better one from anywhere else?  I'm going to order it.

The BFI is a good looking print, but the subtitles are a mess.

I'm unfamiliar with IPS...is it a shorthand for the offices of I.P. Slowly?
