I'm taking a few days of staycation, much like DR Cillaliz. I've been feeling quite worn out and really need a break. I have things around the apartment to do, but mostly I want R&R.

Ginny, I meant to congratulate you on the success of the BIG SALE! And on getting rid of much you don't need.

I am forgetting if anyone here has seen KINKY BOOTS. If so, would it be appropriate to take my 11 year old neice to? Reading the plot it sounds perfectly fine, but just concerned about language.

Movie? Musical? I'm a big fan of the movie. I'd say it's a bit mature for an 11-year-old, but some kids might not think anything of cross-dressing. The language isn't the problem.

12 YEARS A SLAVE is in my Netflix queue, but it'll be a while before I watch it. Difficult subject matter. I have THE BUTLER here and plan to watch it this week.

I started the BBC series DEATH IN PARADISE last night. I really like it. Netflix viewers voted it a 3, but for me it's a 5. Much fun, IMO.

FARGO ended well last night.

I hope there isn't a second season. 

It's not that I don't want the surviving actors to have work, it's just that less is more. 

Or, as Milton Berle would say, "Always leave 'em laughing."

We will watch it tonight.  Last night we watched HER.

Keith read there is talk about creating a new script which would take place in the same area but with a new cast.

Did anybody go see Disney's Tarzan when it played New York? A local theater is staging. I know the critics hated it but it is good summer fun? Or just bad?

DR Mike Barnum:  You mentioned Rad Fulton the other day.  One of his films - "No, My Darling Daughter" -- aired on TCM yesterday or the day before.  I have it on my DVR.

It starred Ralph Richardson, Juliet Mills (her debut film), Michael Craig and Rad Fulton (who was her love interest through much of the film).

A bit offbeat...did you see it?

EXACTLY.  Didn't you see or read "Rosemary's Baby"?  Apparently, witches can take personal items and work bad hoo-doo on folks.  I'm reckoning keys would work just as well as gloves.
