Hmm we haven't had any storms here yet, but they are all around us.  I'm guessing we'll get something before this is all over tonight.  But, not sure....makes my decision about going to the baseball game or outdoor movie night a bit more difficult

Well, it's not Wednesday Wiener night - so that would help make my decision.      :)

By the way:

When leaving the zoo, it's probably not a good idea to start running towards the parking lot yelling "Run For Your Lives! They're Loose!!!"

I recall like RC Cola. It has been so many years since I have had it, though.

Lately I have had cravings for regular Pepsi.

Have you seen the mini cans of Pepsi?  I keep those in the house and treat myself once in awhile.

The problem (to me) with the mini-cans is that they cost so much more per ounce than the regular 12 ounce cans, or certainly the 2-litre bottles...although, I never get those.

Soda/Pop is just so very bad for you.  If I treat myself I try not to finish even the little can.  The way I see it, it is a savings to buy the smaller cans and drink it less often.  Actually, until they came out with the smaller cans I never purchased it anymore and I was better off for it.

That certainly is a consideration...not for me, but it is a consideration.

You have to sing it!
Run for your lives! Run for your lives!
The damn has burst!
Run for your lives! Run for your lives!
The lion's loose!
Fire, bubonic plague, air raid warning!
Hurry! Run Run! Run!

Early in the day or early in the year?

June is a big month for storms so that's not really unusual, We have them at all different times of day. Late afternoon early evening is the most common time, but they can come any time

Cilla, sorry about the flood damage, but I guess this was a good time to be home. Glad it's felt like a vacation just the same.

Bruce, I loved seeing your commercials. I heard about Charmin from coworkers long before I ever saw one of the commercials. Of course, if anyone had said, "You know, the commercial with BRUCE KIMMEL in it," I would of course have run to a TV to watch for it.

Thanks, my only damage is from rainwater coming in the basement and not back up from the river.  After seeing all the severe damage, I decided to quit whining about what happened to me.  It's just not that big a deal

BTW Jane, I did think about going to Pilger today.  I decided not to.  I did mow the yard, but other than that just went to lunch with Paul.

I also dislike the expression "It's all good." What the h*ll is that supposed to mean? That everything in life is good?

Rant over.

I like Diet Dr. Pepper now.  I usually drink unsweetened ice tea, but do like to drink pop too

Cilla, when I lived in Virginia, keeping the basement dry was so much trickier than it seemed it should be. The former owners had installed a sump pump and that took care of most of it, but why there was any leakage at all is still a mystery to me, given that several workmen had done their best. Ground water? I don't know. But if your parents' company can successfully take care of it I'm impressed.

I drink water. I drank 7-up for a while long, long ago, but I prefer water now.

Maybe the landlord let the super know that his temper needs to be kept in check. I hope so. The delays were bad enough.
