I am longing for summer storms. Of course, my summer storms are quite different from your summer storms.

Dozed off for forty-five minutes.  Did some writing, and finished the movie I was watching.

I've been listening to the incredible Laurie Beechman. She is sadly missed, but we have all her albums to listen to including two by Mr. Kimmel and assorted tracks on various compilation albums.

And up there with her are Michelle Nicastro and  Nancy LaMott.

All three died way too young and left us bereft of their incredible voices.

Speaking of commercials and colas, here's a classic Pepsi commercial with vocals by fellow Buffalonian Joanie Sommers:

Lately when I've gone biking around the lake the geese and their family seem to always be in odd spots.  They get out of the lake and walk across the path.

Well yesterday was one of the funnier things I've seen them do.  When I biked around the path the first time they were on the grass on the other side of the path (away from the water). And when I biked around again they were walking in a big line (maybe 20 of them).  They were crossing the path to get to the lake. It looked so funny.

As long as they don't jump out in front of your bike they are fun to watch.

Today they did something I've never seen before. They were camped out on the bike path. They are always in the water, around the water or on grass across the bike path.  The worst part is that they poop a lot.

Anyhow I had to get off my bike and slowly inch forward. That made them all walk off the path.

The super just left and my bathroom ceiling is up. It needs plastering and painting and that will hopefully happen on Monday. He also checked out my stove and told me he'd have management send a repairman.

I think things are okay, although inwardly he may want me made into a rug, but I'll let him finish the work and then give him a thank you gift. Until this whole thing began we got along very nicely, and i do not dislike him or his family I just wanted the work done.

I don't get why he would be mad at you. You waited patiently for months. Anybody else would have gone over his head a long time ago.

On a lighter note, here is one of my TOD favorites - the old ubiquitous Milford Plaza commercial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADZCRZlm4no

former DR William F Orr and I stood across the street and watch them film the final sequence of that commercial  --- could it have possibly been the day we went to see Nine?

Last week of school here has had lots of fun activities. Yesterday was a carnival. Today the class went swimming for 2 hours, then had a picnic at the park. Then played.  I don't remember not doing anything the last week of school.
