Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a Levin Fix, and now it is time for you to post until the cows from Brazil come home.

I woke up very early today so I might as well finish packing and get ready for the flight home. Oh joy oh rapture. I've started not to enjoy it.

Yesterday, I got up early to help my sister and niece set up the canopy for their PFLAG booth at this weekend's Pride, then I went to work, then I went to a house re-warming party.  What's a house re-warming party, you ask?  Well, let me tell you.  My friend Brian and his husband Scott had been renting the house that they're living in for about 10 years, and they were finally able to buy it from the owner.  There were quite a few people there, and many that I didn't know.  After it got dark, Brian and Scott started twirling fire-balls (or whatever they're really called)!!  They were pretty good, too!  It was all very entertaining.  I did have a great time and chatted with friends and ate and enjoyed being there and then came home.  I'm sure that the party is still going on. ;)

Here's blurry evidence of Brian and Scott's fire-ball twirling:

Today, I will be walking in the Pride Parade with my sister and niece and their PFLAG group.  Fortunately, I don't have to get up as early as I did yesterday.  It starts at noon, so I just have to get there by about 11:30 or so.  AND I must remember sunscreen.  I bought a new bottle only last month, so I have plenty.  After the parade is over, I'm going to visit my friend Christine who will be working the beer garden at the Pride event.  I'll probably hang around until about 5:00 pm, when I'll help them take down their canopy and booth stuffs.

After that, I have to meet with the vice-president of Theater Artists Olympia (I'm the treasurer) and I think we are going to figure out some stuff for our upcoming elections.  My position isn't up, but all the others are.  I'm sure that any of the nominees would be good, but I hope that not EVERY position has a new person.  We do need some continuity.  The president position wasn't supposed to be elected this go-around, but the soon-to-be-past president essentially quit a couple of months ago, and it was decided to elect someone new instead of appoint for the rest of his term (the entire second year of a two-year term).

The two Ira Levin novels mentioned in today's notes are now installed on my Kindle. I've never read any of Ira's work.

Didn't Lerner & Loewe adapt this into a musical?

Have fun, DR KevinH!  The New York Times was mostly complimentary, as well:
