What is the hotel now?  I didn't realize the Comfort Inn was no longer there.

The building is still there, still a hotel, same staff. Only the name has changed - Broadway @ Times Square.  Oh, and the rates have gone up...

We just watched Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me on Netflix.

Enjoyable, but much darker than the previous documentary, from the time of her At Liberty show. She's much older now, and much more vulnerable.

Got American Hustle on. It's starting out OK, but isn't Russell's greatest. Still, I liked the scene with I Got Your Number playing in the background. Hope it introduces the song to many people.

Today is my dad's 86th birthday. They didn't do much to celebrate now because of Mom's dental problems. But they plan on going out this weekend.

I don't like the lovely photos or sayings that are ruined by their political or religious slant.  Usually, IMHO, could be used for almost any view on the subject.

Speaking of FB.....

Bruce, how do you know Wendy Temple?

I sadly learned, from FB, today that one of my all time favorite teachers passed away last year.  He was Jerry Urfrig at Palms Jr. High.  I went to school with his sister Wendy Urfrig Temple.  Did you know her from Hami?

I have a cosmetic tooth I can wear when we are going out and I want to cover the space but I can't eat with the tooth in, I have to take it out. I haven't been wearing it at home but I wore it yesterday when I met a friend. We were together for a couple of hours and then had dinner at which point I had to take out the dental appliance (as they are called). It's a cosmetic tooth only and not built for chewing or biting or anything other than appearance.

It will come in handy in August when I go to a family reunion where I'm sure lots of pictures will be taken.

Larry, I hope the ceiling work is finished up soon. Anthony wants to visit you, either uptown or at Toyland.

I, however, am consumed in work. I may end up working this Saturday, the first time since 2008, IIRC. The good thing about it is I would get time and a half (I would put in about 6 hours). The bad thing is I would have to work on Saturday.

DR Ben, 20 years ago this summer I had my 4 front teeth capped.  I called my temporaries (not removable) my "Mrs. Doubtfire teeth."  Richard's 30th high school reunion was coming up and I convinced the dentist to have the project done before that party.

DR elmore I received a response from Craig.

"here in Maryland our liquor sales are controlled by the county and Eastern European options are pretty limited. I believe we have two. I like a good palinca or tuica, both plum brandy, palinka generally stronger than tuica, but don't have any distillers for you."

Now I'm curious if you even see any of these.

Keith wants to watch something.  I plan to look these up later.

Well, I'm off.  Tomorrow night, Theater Artists Olympia is having a movie night!  We're going to show "Bucket of Blood" and "The Brain That Wouldn't Die."  Tonight, we're going to test everything.  I have a couple of microwave ovens that we will use to make popcorn to sell, and we want to make sure that they don't trip the circuit breakers.  And we want to make sure that the movies look good on our newly made screen. :D

Be back later!

I just spent an hour and half helping the DH copy and collate. The choir doesn't rehearse over the summer (although they still sing on Sundays), but they are meeting tomorrow night to read through compositions by people in the choir who compose - there are about 13 compositions by 4 or 5 people.
