Morning, all!

TOD: there are a bunch of lines from Monk and Psych that The Lovely Wife(tm) & I quote frequently. Probably most frequently "You're messing my jujubes." "Jujubes are candy." "Exactly."

Good morning, all! I have physical therapy at 11:00 this morning, and very little planned before or after.

DR cillaliz, what a neat appointment! I hope you find it a rewarding experience.

DR TCB, around 1987, the building next to mine was being renovated, probably some apartments of 3-5 rooms were being converted to 1-2 room ones. I asked the landlord what a 1-bedroom was renting for, since i was tired of a studio. He told me $1500/month, and that was nearly thirty years ago. I think I was then paying about $500 for my studio, so I stayed.

TOD

I think I've managed to say it out loud only to myself, but somehow or other within the past year or so, I seem to have adopted "Don't be ridic!" from THE LOST WEEKEND.

We watched a very interesting film last night, BLUE RUIN.

It's an often violent thriller, but I did like it.  Reminded me (in tone) of the Coen Brothers first movie, BLOOD SIMPLE.

No names in it, but it's quite good.

I tried to see this at the theater on the last night it was playing, but the movie had been yanked. Looking forward to seeing it on DVD.

TOD: For the movie It's Alive II also known as It Lives Again:

The "It's Alive" baby is back, only now there are three of them.

(The grammar geek in me loves this convoluted catchphrase.)

I forgot that I had wanted to see "Forgotten" after seeing the previews. I hope I don't forget to get it.

There was -- for one fraction of a second -- a misreading of today's topic as "Damn the Torn Speedos and Full Speed Ahead".

Silly, I know...

I, too, loved "The Forgotten".   The acting is superb, and there are chills and thrills aplenty.

Question of the day:

Tomorrow The United States Celebrates their Independence Day.

Does England have July 4th?

Of course, it's tomorrow.  Wedged between July 3rd and July 5th.  Same is true for all other countries, as well.
