Bruce, considering your car was broken into you were extremely lucky nothing was actually broken.

DR Cilla I'm glad you enjoy your birthday celebration.  After reading your reviews I went to see if they will be touring anywhere near me.  I couldn't find anything.  I did see they will be in Phoenix on July 20th.  DR Laura or DR Kerry, will you be going?

Restaurant Watches Old Surveillance And Shares Shocking Results On Craigslist

Quote
A busy NYC restaurant kept getting bad reviews for slow service, so they hired a firm to investigate. When they compared footage from 2004 to footage from 2014, they made some pretty startling discoveries. So shocking, in fact, that they ranted about it on Craigslist!

If you haven't read this, I highly recommend it.

BK...you've been ranting about this sort of thing for a long time.  Now, there's PROOF! ;)

I told Keith about this yesterday-lol

For those of you familiar with New York hotels, the Milford Plaza no longer exists. It's been upgraded and renovated and turned into

Row

as in "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" gently up 8th Avenue (8th Avenue is a one-way street going uptown)

It looks like a higher end place than the old Milford Plaza (AKA Mildew Plaza)

I stayed there on my first trip to NY.  It could have been made into a classy, beautiful hotel.  What they did is not my cup of tea.

We watched a film called BAD WORDS last night, directed by and starring Jason Bateman.

The film has its problems, but what we really enjoyed was the fact that much of it was filmed all over the Sportsman's Lodge where we stayed when we were in Los Angeles last December.

I haven't been to the Sportsman's Lodge in years.

DR George, I loved this! What is it with all the damned food photos? I have one FB friend who posts nothing but photos of his vegan meals, at least two a day. WTF?  What is the point of a photo of a plate of food? Uneaten or half-eaten? Really?

I have another friend who posts nothing but photos of himself scowling, looking foolish, looking smug, looking moronic, looking elated, occasionally in some activity, and occasionally half-dressed; NOTE: put your shirt back on (actors, oy!). What looked good 20 years ago may not today.

Your comments made me laugh.

Some of the food photos on FB look very inviting, others I hide.  Vegan dishes would likely be ok as it is some of the meat & fish ones that I don't want to see.

I have hidden strange photos of people.

Shocking break-in news from MR BK....  BUT great news about the recording session.

I like DR LAURA's blog photos and DR CILLA LIZ's photo AND the review of the Hough show were much appreciated!

All kinds of things yesterday on HHW.

We had a good day at WOW with a total of almost $700.  We may be open one more week, or one more day....we shall see what the landlord says.  He suddenly thinks that he needs to rent our SPACE NOW....even though he only has about a 30% occupancy in the whole mall....

Has the lease already ended?

So sorry your car was broken into, Bruce. I know what an uneasy feeling that is. As others have said, as these things go you were lucky. No only did they not get much, they didn't trash your car out of frustration. I know how much you like your car; I'm glad it wasn't damaged.

Well DR JANE....the two events are connected.  The payroll taxes are just too much...and other government required taxes just make it difficult to stay open.

Since her husband died, there hasn't been his extra income to keep the household going....so some of the store $$ had to go there....and we just don't bring in enough to break even....so it was a little more debt every month.

So we may close this week OR the end of the month....we shall see what happens.

It seemed you were saying the landlord might force you to move sooner than you expected.  If that happens I hope you can do so easily enough.   Closing a store sounds like a ton of work to me.

As for wishing the thieves ill, it probably isn't necessary. It probably isn't the first time they've done it and I suspect in time they'll be caught. They're taking a lot of risk for such meagre rewards.

And all of that could have been avoided had they listened to you, bk, and used your players in the first place.

I was thinking the same thing. If it happens again you can always allude to the cheapskates and how much extra it cost them.

Glad, also, that DR FJL had a good time and safe travels with Fiddler.

Ditto! I'd love to see FIDDLER again.

Just a little old shack in Scotland...

Lovely spot, but is there a Panera nearby? Oh, I think I see a village.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Oh, dear, it appears that I didn't log off yesterday when we left for the wedding.  I may have looked like I was sitting here like so much fish, but I actually was having a grand time.  Here we are, well into the reception after almost 8 hours.  We look a little wilted because we were tired and it was pretty warm inside the reception venue.

Not wilted at all! It's a great photo! I like your skirt, too. I used to have one in a similar fabric, but mine had a peach background. Do you wear the skirt with other colors, too? I think it would be quite versatile.

He doesn't look so much like his late brother John without the beard, which for yesterday was probably a good thing.

Maybe.  You can see the joy in her face while dancing with her dear uncle.
