DR Jeanne did you like The Grand Budapest Hotel?  We were disappointed and eventually turned it off.

We took off to do errands and have dinner at a little Greek cafe.  Treated ourselves to some frozen yogurt for dessert and now we're in for the evening.

Thank you.  He has information from the doctor and I thought of you while reading it.  The after surgery visits will be with the physician's assistant instead of with the surgeon.

I had lunch with my friend Jan today at a vegan restaurant called Sage. Very good. Lots of interesting and unusual items on the menu. Not for traditionalists like BK, but certainly for those who can enjoy a meal without meat. Some faux meat items on the menu (not my thing).

He was handsome.

He was, but he always had the look of an unmade bed about him, slightly wrinkled, always smelled like a smoker. It was lung cancer that killed him.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and mentor, Larry. So few really exceptional teachers around. You were fortunate to know one!

What a shame, about the cancer not the unmade bed look.

I was a bit disappointed also. I suspect the stories are rather charming, but it just didn't work that well as a movie.

Thank you Dr Jeanne.  The doctor told him it will hurt.  Keith has a high tolerance for pain so we are hoping he will cope ok without a lot of pain meds.

Back from dining out.  Indian.  I know that isn't bk's cup of tea, but we enjoyed it - hadn't been to an Indian restaurant in at least a year!

Jane mentioned e-books and Mockingbird - which reminds me that Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird has just been released in e-book format. And since I have never read it (I know, I know!), that will be next on my list, I think. I just finished Silkworm today. Enjoyed it a lot.

That's too bad, Jane.  I still want to see it, though.

If you don't like it you can always turn it off.  At least your expectations won't be too high as ours were.
