The message, if there is one, from all the survivors is to live for today, don't be afraid to do what you want to and dream about because you never know what will happen. It's a strange mix of emotion, sad for the 112 who died but celebration of the miracle that 184 lived. SO interesting.

There is clearly a close bond between the survivors and the flight crew and those who helped them. Most of them have been back for a number of anniversaries and although there are occasional tears there are a lot of smiles and laughs and gratitude toward the crew and the community for the response. I feel kind of like I don't belong or I'm watching someone else's reunion, but the group is very welcoming.

Our local station had a nice interview with Captain Al Haynes (he lives in Seattle) and he mentioned that he would be there today.

Finished with my viewing. I had a little fruit but think I need a little something else - just had the chicken tenders and pudding earlier so am kind of hungry now. Perhaps a trip to Gelson's is in order.

I watched VIOLENT SATURDAY, and after a short break, went back and listened to the entire Redman/Kirgo commentary.

A perfect evening on the TV couch.

Perfect weather, too, with windows open and the faintest wisp of a soft breeze coming through now and then.
