Last night I watch DARK CORNER with Lucille Ball.

It was on Time Warner(ON Demand) for free.

I had seen it before, but did enjoy watching it the second time, because of course, Lucille Ball was in it

I'm a bit surprised about needing anything on a Mac other than their usual security updates.

I guess I'm up.  Just under six hours, but I'm sure I can grab another hour at some point.

I'm a bit surprised about needing anything on a Mac other than their usual security updates.

Exactly, but a couple of months ago, and I'll blame half on my crippled and drugged out state and half on my own stupidity, I opened a site from the US Postal Service that was not theirs. I believe I allowed someone in I should not, just like a vampire.  About two weeks ago, all these popups that I could not block started appearing like  plague of locusts. No matter what I did to block a popup, they kept on coming. I knew something was wrong. Then, yesterday's phone call really freaked me out.

My Mac Mechanic suggested this:

Love that show and enjoyed its various spin-off shows as well, like MAYBERRY RFD.

DR Jane - I have had tech issues with HHW in the past, but not today.

The last several days had been a problem but yesterday was by far the worse.  So far today all is well.

From DR George:

I had a similar problem when I was still at work today.  I knew that I was leaving soon and figured that the problem would sort itself out eventually, so I didn't mention it.  Glad it's all better...for me, at least.  I hope Jane's computer is okay.

I don't have the fastest connection, however, if that had been the problem it would have been the same wherever I went on the internet.  My issues were only here.  I found clicking on reload helped.

Have any DR"S read these and do they have any recommendations for me?

Neither of those books appealed to me so I haven't read them.  People I know who read LOVING FRANK really liked it.

Did you join Goodreads?  If so invite me as a friend.  I have often read a book of interest after seeing how my friends rate it (invite me to be a friend if you like).  If nothing else it is a good way to browse books.

No, I don't believe that I have joined Goodreads.

Yes I also really like LOVING FRANK, so far.

What books do you recommend?

I think that's a given that I do have sme sort of spyware going on. I need the vibes now to get rid of the creeps.

I have to step out for a bit: pharmacy trip. More Tylenol with codeine and, of all things, an alarm clock. The one I have is not happy.

Hi DR Jane,

No, I don't believe that I have joined Goodreads.

Yes I also really like LOVING FRANK, so far.

What books do you recommend?
Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson-I loved this
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Shaffer & Barrows I loved this
The Year We Disappeared: A Father-Daughter Memoir
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
The Gift of Rain by Twan Eng Tan
The Garden of Evening Mists by Twan Eng Tan
Somewhere in France by Jennifer Robson
The Masie Dobb's books by Jacqueline Winspear
Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin

I could go on and on.

Good afternoon, all.

Back from the book sale, at which no buried treasure was found -- which is all right because my money is still in my pocket.  And these things are always fun to browse for a while.

Just had a nice e-mail from a film composer whose work I discovered recently - I think we're going to be able to put out a score or two by him, including the one that introduced him to me.

Deal is done for the two scores - the composer is Soren Hyldgaard and the scores are the Danish miniseries I spoke of the other day, The Spider, and the movie I watched last night, Red.
