I am off from work for the next several days as my knee has been in a lot of pain and I've been unable to walk without a cane. I've not been able to get a hold of the workman's comp rep. If she does call me today, I will go over her head and speak to her boss,

Stop me if you've heard this one before (you have), but I'm up early to go up to New Milford Volkswagen ("across the road from the cows") one more time for what had better be the final fix on the gas lid that has trouble opening.  The problem obviously wasn't the "actuator" which they replaced a couple of weeks ago, so the other day they ordered a new switch, the thingy inside the driver's door, that sends the signal to pop the thing open.  I know full well that the contacts in switches can wear out or become dirty (and there's no way to get any contact cleaner in there to clean this kind of thing).  So I just hope this is, in fact, the thing that's wrong with the world.  I also hope the service manager has it in his pea pickin' little heart to allow some kind of credit for the previous work that didn't fix the thing.  Fortunately, this is not a "large" job as car things go.

Good morning, all!  I'll pass on the cow photos, thank you! There were too many years of milking time and dodging cow patties on my Aunt Lois' farm in Columbus OH and my grandmother's in Appalachia.  Cows hold no endearing moments for me.

Another day with no plans. I do need a trip to market in the very near future, perhaps within the next thirty minutes.

Beautiful in NYC also. We had the AC on Wednesday night (even with the HUGE rainstorm) but it was off last night and will be for the weekend unless the weather takes a turn for the worse.
