Dear Lurker Iris posted this late last night:

Was that restaurant's name El Rebozo?
On Sawtelle?

Does that help?  I don't think I knew it, sorry to say.

No El in the name.  As Bruce said it was on Pico next to the Playhouse which is on the corner of Patricia.

Yes, best tacos ever.  Also, they had a green sauce that was served along with the traditional red sauce for chips, tacos, whatever.  I wish I had asked Andy for the recipe because not only does no one serve this any more but it was the best green sauce (don't know what it is called) by far that I ever had.

Oh right, he did say that.  Damn it.  How weird this is.

I think it's just called salsa verde.

Odd day here. Nicely cool, around 70, with a lovely light breeze -

But it keeps shifting from sunny to lightly raining.

I was quite surprised to read this in the notes:

She of the Evil Eye arrived and we did a two-mile jog, then went and had sausage and eggs and toast, oh my.

I was so surprised I read it again  when I read

She of the Evil Eye arrived and I did a two-mile jog, then went and had sausage and eggs and toast, oh my.

Could be, but it wasn't spicy-just full of flavor.

I was also surprised to put on  the teevee and be greeted with the image of  our very own BK putting snails on some man's face

I was so surprised I looked again and indeed  it was our very own BK putting snails on some man's face

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Fr. Richard and I are home from Lima.  When we left at 7:15 this morning, Allie told us goodbye from the other side of the screen door at the top of the steps.

My cell phone screeched out a dust storm warning during the night.

Do you really need this information in the middle of the night?

Mine screeched an Amber Alert at 6:30 yesterday morning and I decided I never need that kind of info immediately, so I disabled the sound on that function.  Weather alerts, fine, but I stay home too much to be of any help in a missing person situation.

I'm at the theater.  Today's the last of "The Tempest."  We have to strike the set after the show and that's the part I always hate...mainly because I'm lazy. ;) Also, I never know what to do, so I usually feel useless.  Oh, well.  I at least stick around for it all.  Some people (at least in other shows that I've done) have left as soon as no one's looking.  That's not right.

The computer that I'm on here at the theater has a 4:3 monitor.  I haven't been on a computer with that ratio since early last year.  It's weird using a small monitor, even though this ratio was the only one available for more than 20 years.

Pretty thin, DR Jane - but I don't recall there being any seeds.

It kinda of looked like this.  Maybe those little white specs aren't seeds.

All I know is it wasn't spicy and only once or twice have I had any that came close in flavor.  I haven't seen it in years.  Maybe I need to ask about it.

I think a typical salsa verde is not hot or spicy.

Are the white things seeds from the tomatillos?

Damn it to hell, where is DR John G. when we need him?
