Well Edith quit today.  I'm not sure what set her off, but she got all upset and walked out.  I think she's trying to do too much, new full time job, part time with me, taking online classes, daughter going to college and sister in law in hospice.  I told her to call if she want to come back.  She didn't leave her key, so I'm guessing she might be there tomorrow.  I did change the passwords on the computers.  I don't think she'd ever do anything crazy, but I have to protect the data.

I hope she settles down after a night's think and all is well tomorrow.

We're supposed to have beautiful weather the next few days--low humidity and low to mid 80's.

Well, it's been a long time, but I think the Virginia DMV issued me a driver's license based on my New York license.

DR Ginny, are you and Richard getting all the info on the class of 1964 reunion?

Yes, he's getting it, but we'll be in France that weekend.  I tease him about how he'll do anything to avoid a class reunion!

Are you coming in for it?

DR Cilla I like your attitude, and understanding, about Edith.  Good luck finding an experienced temp.

Congrats to DR SINGDAW on his driving license.

Shocking news from DR CILLA LIZ.....but sometimes people just reach The End.....my guess is that she will return.

Mercury entered Leo today....people have lots to say.....and the more you say, the more you have to regret.

I switched to Verizon today.  Keith compared buying a new phone to buying a car.  It really wasn't that bad but it did seem to take forever.  I decided I don't need a smartphone, one in the family is enough and my monthly cost will be $10 less a month.

I learned on fb that there is flooding in Cleveland.  I'm going to make my first text to Bryan to see how is car is.

Oh oh, this is very different from my old phones.  I might need to get the directions out.

Cillaliz, that's too bad that Edith just up and left, but good luck in finding a replacement!

I have to take a written test to get my MN driver's license. In all the other states I've moved to, they simply granted you the new license based on the valid license from your previous state.

I should have done this months ago. But, today, I crammed the online manual and then went downtown to the DMV.

I passed.       :)

Sorry, Minnesota.  Good luck!

DR Cillaliz, I thought Edith was spreading herself pretty thin.  Sorry this happened so abruptly...

Well, that's quite the surprise, DR Cillaliz!

Like others said, she was probably so overwhelmed by everything, she just didn't have it in her to handle the situation any more gracefully than that.

Thanks everyone. I truly think she's just overwhelmed as am I at the moment.   I came back to the office and backed up her hard drive, as it's our server.  In no way do I think she'd do anything to the files etc, but I can't be too careful.  I've begun the process of putting out the word I'm looking for a part time receptionist/interpreter.  We'll see what comes up.
Even if she calls tomorrow and wants to come back, I don't think I want her to stay beyond this week.  She is making mistakes and is distracted and I understand, but I also can't have that in the office.  We'll see what tomorrow brings.

It sounds like it for the best. If she returns I don't see how she can cope any better than she was.

Here is evidence of last night's doggie play date.  That is Cooper on the left, and my Zach on the right.  They got along just famously!!

Zach is a bit more stout than I remember.

I don't even know what a meme is!

What I love (yeah, sure!) is the vanity is exposes, especially among some of my actor acquaintances. Some of them cannot pass gas without documenting it with a post or by changing their profile photo. One former FANTASTiCKS actor posts a photo of something insignificant involving himself every 30 seconds or so. It must be exhausting whipping out that camera constantly.

They said on the news the other night that some young people are taking up to 35 selfies a day
