My favorite classical composition:  "Enigma Variations" by Sir Edward Elgar.

The Elgar is high on my list, simply for the heartbreaking Nimrod variation.

I went through Achives 1, 2 and 3....and checked the first few posts of each day until I found it.  Of course, I skipped around until I went too far and then backtracked.

Thanks JRand.   I felt really sad last night and just let myself be mad then sad and I'm feeling much better today.   Edith gave her key and parking card to the building maintenance man to give to me.  She didn't even come up to get her stuff.  Of course she didn't mention to him that she already has a new job , just that we had a disagreement and she quit.  At this point I really don't care. There is so much less chaos here with just Bob and I plugging away and getting our work done.   I quite like it, actually.

I have put out the word I'm looking for someone part time.  Not going to advertise, just sent it out via several grapevines.  I have no doubt that things will be fine and better things are to come.   I'm already feeling freer and more in charge of my own business.

It sounds like she is really pushing you away instead of dealing with the situation.  Feelings of guilt will do that.

On the upside you have reached the point of fed-up.

I truly hope you become a judge.

So after 50 years, last night I watched THE AMERICANIZATION OF EMILY.

I had seen so many UNFUNNY and USELESS Glenn Ford WWII "comedies" that I thought this was just another one of them......I didn't really pay attention to the fact that it was written by Paddy Chayefsky...which makes all the difference.

I enjoyed it very much.....some really great performances by James Garner, Julie Andrews, James Coburn, and Melvin Douglas....and a funny appearance by Steve Franken
