Well, you've read the notes, the notes gave a Fig, Newton, and now it is time for you to post until the Fig Newton cows come home.

ASK BK

Did you see the last Broadway revival of Boeing Boeing? If you did other than the name changes of the stewardesses would you know what other revisions were made from the original 60's version?

Also do you think could it work in an all male version?

Good morning, all! I have to be at 23rd and 9th Avenue by 12:30 to meet a friend for lunch, and that's my day.

I have nothing else to report.

You and Anthony are at different ends of the street, he's at 23rd Street and First Avenue visiting the NYU School of Dentistry for a cleaning.

Wednesday morning greetings!  I am alone in the house (except for the cat, who's upstairs), which is a very rare occurrence these days.  It won't last long, because Rob will be home from work soon, but he'll zonk right out for a few hours before he has to go to class.  Richard is over at the cardiologists' office having a routine stress test because it's been almost a year since he received his stents.  Assuming all goes well, we're going out to brunch when he's finished.

When Rob was about 4 or 5 he came home from Vacation Bible School and told me how much he'd liked the cookies they'd had for snack time.  I asked what they were and he said they had "chocolate inside."  The next time we went to the grocery we spent quite a while in the cookie aisle looking at all the chocolate-filled items and he didn't find the ones from church.  Next time I saw the VBS coordinator I asked her what kind they were and she said - wait for it - Fig Newtons!

I like my Fig Newtons slightly stale.

DR TCB - Glenn Ford was NOT in The Americanization of Emily....but he was in a few service "comedies" that didn't find very funny including The Teahouse of the August Moon and Don't Go Near the Water....that's the kind of comedy I thought EMILY was.....I was wrong.

I would add Kiss Them For Me, except Ford wasn't in that one either....but it wasn't very funny.

A comedy that wasn't very funny.  Hollywood ought to make more of those.

Oh, wait.  They already do!         :P

I think Fig Newtons were as much a staple in our house as Saltines and Ritz and Graham Crackers.  And though I would eat all of these, even binge on them at times, I was never, shall we say, "passionate" about any of them.  It has now been many years since I've had a Fig Newton, and I never tried any of the alternate versions.  In fact, I'm not sure I even knew about them.
