Two roads diverged in a yellow wood...

Can you guess which path I chose?        :)

I believe it is Ireland, DR Jane. But I am not positive.

Because of the stone I guessed England.  Ireland is close enough.

Okay. I took the corner apart, braved the ladder, redid a section of the bookshelves - I really need a sherpa! - and I've got to clear out some filing cabinets to make room for the things at Toyland. The move out is becoming clearly more urgent than I anticipated last week.

TOD: the Broadway revival of Hay Fever with Rosemary Harris, Charles Kimbrough and Deborah Rush. Left me in tears from laughing so much.

Chee Chee has one of my favorite R&Hart songs: Moon of My Delight. Blossom Dearie did a great recording for some Ben Bagley record.

Tomorrow is the last regular swim meet of the summer.  Unfortunately it is at a pool that is verging on downtown (all the other pools in our section are much closer).  I am hoping that summer traffic and parking are good.

John McGlinn's recording of Rodgers & Hart songs has two CHEE-CHEE numbers in their original orchestrations and my favorite R&H song, "If I Were You" with the fabulous Nightingale chorus.

I don't know Ormandy's versions, but the symphonies are certainly wonderful.

DR elmore3003, do you have a preferred recording of Pelléas et Mélisande?

Good evening.  Got the application filed today.  I'm the first. That surprised me as the announcement was 2 weeks ago.  The final deadline isn't until the 18th, but I learned today that the commission is getting the apps as they come in, so I think it's an advantage to get the app to them early so they can check on whatever they want to before interviews

Good morning, all! Physical therapy at 11:00 today. Until then, i will putter around the apartment and clean off my work table. I've got a small project to finish for the Moross estate and I think there will be some more editorial work coming in on some film scores in the near future.  Since I have no major work at the moment, i've decided to start a few projects of my own to keep myself occupied. One of them is the Rodgers & Hart flop Chee-Chee, which intrigues me.

DR George, I was never aware that Moross wrote a score for "The Adventures of Huckleberry Hound," but I really love his score for "Huckleberry Finn!" The suite from the film was one of my editorial jobs about three years ago.

Good luck and have fun (hopefully) with Chee-Chee

As for "Hound" vs. "Finn"...um, SPOO!! :o
