DR Vixmom, little Lyra is such a cutie!

Of course, having watched many sword and sandal/Hercules movies over the years, the name Lyra did not seem unusual to me.

Which just goes to show that beefcake movies can be educational.

Ditto, though I can't imagine buying that many purses at once.  I might get a new one every few years or longer.

As long as you don't suffer from GERD.  I suspect it would cause one to reflux.

LOL, DR Jane!  We didn't buy all that yesterday, just what's in the orange shopping bags.  The other items are the purses and travel bags we'd used for our trip.

All I bought yesterday were some stationery items, mostly to donate to AAUW's holiday bazaar.

Fortunately, DR elmore, I know the truth about your lost youth!  Mr. Barnum told me all about the ageing portait on the fire escape.  The Idina Menzel green make-up is not helping.

I wish I had something to say, seeing as how it's been an hour and ten minutes since the last post.

Fell right asleep after posting the notes, but woke up at two-thirty.  Felt much less queasy, thankfully, but was up until four-thirty, then slept until nine, so total of about seven hours.  Then on to Teddy who coifed me and now I'm home.  I think I can chance some poached eggs right now.

The Berlin Philharmonic has just appointed an 18-year old teenager to its #2 trumpet chair.  Gads, he must be talented. I wonder if an 18-year old anything can bring the emotional maturity required to the classics of the standard repertoire.

Rumors of that portrait are lies, I tell you! Lies!

And, here I am, home from a wonderful lunch with my friend Lanny to face the slanders of the Wicked Witch of the West. Where are those falling houses when you need them?

And because we didn't have quite enough Vera Bradley, my sister and I stopped at the new outlet store in Simpsonville, KY:
