Richard Attenborough has died.

I'd just read that, also.  I didn't know that he was 90 years old.

But Chas, did you buy more pillows?

I ended up leaving the house way too late to stop anywhere, so maybe tomorrow.

I didn't get to Costco or Kohl's, either.

The photos come out so grainy when I transfer them.  I'm not very good at this.

It's because they're reduced in size.  Otherwise, they're great pictures, Jane!

While ketchuping on all the posts, I've had BBC America on the TV, getting ready to watch "Doctor Who" recorded on my DVR.  The show that's been on is "The Musketeers," based on, of course, "The Three Musketeers."  And guess who is playing Cardinal Richelieu...only the new Doctor, Peter Capaldi!

Had a lovely time at my friend's tea party.  She turns 65 on Wednesday and gathered 20 of her special friends today to celebrate.  Enjoyed the ride to Cincinnati and back with Sharon and Sondra, especially since Sharon was driving.

It sounds like a lovely day.

I used to get allergy shots when I was a kid.

This doesn't surprise me-lol

I'm sure I should have had them when I was young.

Back from the jog and will watch something else - there's another BBC series called The Fall that sounds interesting, so I may try that.

I met Richard Attenborough when he was making DOCTOR DOLITTLE at Fox. One of my publicity clients (Muriel Landers) was playing his wife and I visited her on the set.

I asked her how she liked working with Attenborough. Apparently, he overheard me. He laughed, extended his hand, and said, "Oh, he's a bloody bastard."

I know this is absurd, but for years following the mid-1960s, the name Richard Attenborough meant "Billy" in Seance for a Wet Afternoon to me, almost exclusively.

DR SINGDAW the recipe from DR JEANNE is very good.....and if you want to start small, you can try a Stinging Nettles tea made directly from the herb....available in most natural herb stores...as it USED to be at World of Wisdom.

I've never tried Stinging Nettles tea. Does it taste good? Do you have to add lots of honey? I should keep it in mind.
I love it. You don't have to add honey unless you like sweet. You do have to let it steep for about 10 minutes.

His best performance, in my opinion.

Starting to watch "The Book Thief." Really enjoying it so far, but I find it odd (and not in a bad way) that the Germans at certain points are speaking German and then they're speaking English.

Had a chili, cheese and onion omelet, began liner notes, and then have two more episodes of Happy Valley and am just starting episode five.  It's really good - I keep fretting that they'll take the cliche way of things in certain plot points, but they haven't - especially at the end of episode four - if this were an American show I know exactly what they would have done and I would have hurled my shoe at the TV - but thankfully they did the absolutely right thing.

Wasn't someone else talking about HAPPY VALLEY last week?

I knew that once I started watching "The Book Thief" that I would not be able to stop. An excellent adaptation of an even better book. I really don't understand some of the criticism this movie received.

The trip started with vixdad losing his cell phone going thrum the security point. Someone els must have taken his phone, whether by design or accident we do not know but we were unable to find it and calls to it went unanswered so we reported it stolen and had it disabeled

Our fight to Toronto did not take off until after e were supposed to arrive because thy only had one open runway for all flights.. However WestJet (which we had never flown before) kindly arranged to have our connecting flight held at the gate while we collected our luggage went through customs and rechecked the luggage
