Now there is nothing stopping me from going to the city council over the noise from the Hard Rock Concert last night that you could hear clear as day up to 5 miles away from the casino.  The process also made me go back over my career and really think about it.   I"m going to be making some changes.  Not quite sure exactly what, but I have a feeling it will be good

Knowing you Cilla I expect you to handle the disappointment well and to move forward.  Maybe it was time for Edith to leave.

Good luck with the noise problem.  In the little town of Jacksonville near us they after an outdoor theater.  There are noise regulations and a time they have to stop playing.  I know sometimes they go over because I have read complaints in the paper.

I just read "Longmire" has been canceled and won't be returning for a 4th season unless another station picks it up.  My poor brother will be very disappointed.

DR George have you watched the new Doctor Who yet?  We haven't and I'm wondering what your thoughts on it are.  Am I correct that you have been watching the series from the beginning?

Enjoying a cocktail before dinner.

Left work early, did some shopping and got a birthday present I needed to buy.

Nice, lazy start to the weekend.

Happy holiday weekend all!

BK, your assessment of August being slow, for me is an understatement. I've seen tumbleweeds this past month rolling across my resume and corporate entertainment work. Thankfully, as of next week, that all changes, beginning of course with the Kritzerland Anniversary show, which I am looking forward to doing.

Among other things, I even picked up a reading at MTW (who never even auditions me) of "Where's Charley?" as Sir Francis. Should be fun and maybe at last, a foot in that door.

So onward and upward for all!   :D

VIbes for the part.

Thanks, John! And thanks again for the referral to the "Company" DVD. I got it and even cut it up into clips and posted some on my YouTube channel. Sweet to see it again after all this time.

The upstairs Palmers and the downstairs Palmers joined forces for dinner tonight.  I bought chopped sirloins, which Richard grilled.  The kids have lots if potatoes and green beans from their farm share, so Rob roasted the former and steamed the latter.  Yum!

Rob's portion of the meal sounds delicious.

DR George have you watched the new Doctor Who yet?  We haven't and I'm wondering what your thoughts on it are.  Am I correct that you have been watching the series from the beginning?

Well, the beginning since the reboot with Christopher Eccleston.  I enjoyed Peter Capaldi's first episode and will definitely watch the rest of the season.

SPOILER ALERT!! (but well known spoilers):  I'd read that they're bringing on another companion fairly soon and Clara is leaving the show after the Christmas episode (after the season-proper).  The thing I'd read a LOT about Clara in this first episode was that she couldn't seem to get over the fact that he's now "so old."  Capaldi's Doctor is older and his character is going to be a little darker than Smith, Tennant or Eccleston, so that's definitely a change.  But I'm looking forward to it all.

I never really liked this song.  I actually kind of like this version. :)

And on that note (pick a note...any note), I'm off to the theater!

Be back later.

DR George thanks for your comments on "Who".  I took a chance and read your spoiler and I'm glad I did.  When I first saw the face of the new doctor, even though I don't watch the show, I thought he was too old-lol.

For some stupid reason I didn't go outside tonight and missed a beautiful comfortable wind.  Worse is that I stayed inside eating and I didn't walk earlier today.

In one direction the sky is beautiful and clear, the other direction dark and smoke filled.

Thanks everyone.  I went to a party tonight that some of the concert band members were having. It was fun until they started talking about immigration law and my representative who is the poster child for ridiculous immigration talk.  The things he said were just wrong and I didn't want to argue about it so I left.  It was a fun evening though. I was there for several hours and really did have a good time.

I'm disappointed about the judge thing, but I'm a criminal defense lawyer.  We spend hours and days and weeks and months investing in cases hoping to hear a jury say we win, but that isn't always the case.  When you lose a trial you accept it, put it behind you and move on to what's next.  That's how I'm looking at this.

I don't think it's a fair process when the law partner of one of the candidates chosen is on the commission and doesn't see it as a conflict. Although I may change my mind, I really don't want to go through  it again.
