I agree. That sounds ridiculous. Although I guess all of the others on the commission had to have liked the partner too. But still it does not seem right because of how it is perceived.

DR JANE is it a hard contact lens? I don't think I have ever heard of a soft lens moving around the eyeball.....when one folds up on me, I usually find it stuck to the shirt I was wearing at the time.

If a soft lens is out of your eye for a long time and gets stiff, you can sometimes save it by putting it in the lens solution overnight and letting it soak in some liquid.

I think it may be luck of the draw as to who the publisher is, from what i can tell. For example, one such video-oriented site has licensing agreements with some of the publishing houses from what i understand, so sometimes I'll get a notice reminding me that someone else owns the music, and saying they reserve the right to put advertising on it with all proceeds going to the copyright holder.

We got a VHS tape out of the library. It's an obscure Fritz Lang film called You and Me with Sylvia Sydney and George Raft. It's got music by Kurt Weill. It looks very interesting. Unfortunately, we couldn't watch it. The condition of the tape is bad enough that it won't play without jumping and other problems. We tried to adjust the tracking but to no avail. It's not available anywhere else. I hoped it might be on YouTube as one of the full out of copyright movies that are available but it's not even there. It's never been released on DVD that we can see and no other library in the area has a copy. When I return it to the library on Tuesday (they are closed Monday for Labor Day) I will tell them that it should be removed from circulation because it doesn't play. Darn!

But, after the disappointment we did watch a DVD given to us by Larry, called The Pied Piper with Donovan, Jack Wild, Donald Pleasence and John Hurt, with a cameo appearance by Diana Dors. It was lots of fun. Thanks Larry. I'll keep looking for You and Me.

Well, i've also taken to shmear the words PARODY ONLY or PARODY PURPOSES ONLY all over the YouTube if it's a parody.

I've also seen some people put FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY or FOR NON-PROFIT PURPOSES ONLY, and they get hundreds of thousands of views without being taken down, it seems.

I have the disposable lenses. They are great for traveling as you don't have to take any solution. Since I don't wear them on a regular basis they don't get old sitting in a case. The downside is they are extra thin and harder to work with. Last night I was removing the lens, and as often happens I didn't manage to get it completely out. At least I don't think I got it out. My eye is a bit sore from searching for it but so far I haven't seen one. Not finding the lens is a new experience for me.

Strange DR JANE. Yes, those soft lenses really don't give you any feeling that they are on your eye.....but I don't think they move around on your eye like a hard lens did....and aren't they pretty large? I know mine cover the iris of my eye.....seems like you could see it in the mirror or feel it with your fingers....
