The case hasn't been decided yet.

I have just watched a couple of scenes from "The Woman Who Came to Dinner"......the reference to the script being sent to Lynn Fontanne was updated to being sent to....Julia Roberts.

I'm still shocked to have found out that "Do you hear what i hear" is not a traditional song dating back hundreds of years.

This afternoon I started watching something or other and was suddenly so drowsy that I settled back into the couch for a ten-minute snooze, and woke up about two hours later.  Now of course I'm wide awake and will probably stay up later than I should.  But who cares, I've got the next two days free to do whatever I want or need to do, so, yeah, "who cares" is my attitude and I'm sticking to it.

I just sampled the Criterion ALL THAT JAZZ, taking a glimpse of each supplementary feature and spot-checking a few scenes of the film.  It's going to be so satisfying watching this, but I knew tonight isn't the night for it.  Gimme a couple of days.

Strange DR JANE.  Yes, those soft lenses really don't give you any feeling that they are on your eye.....but I don't think they move around on your eye like a hard lens did....and aren't they pretty large?  I know mine cover the iris of my eye.....seems like you could see it in the mirror or feel it with your fingers....

Right, they are much better than a hard lens.  They flop though & bend easily.  Several weeks ago one split in half as I put it in.  I was in a bit of pain and it took about 20 minutes before I got both pieces out.

Not seeing was the problem.  I couldn't find it anywhere, not in my eye or on the bathroom counter or on my clothes.  Chances are if it landed on my blue clothes I was wearing a light blue contact would be difficult to see.

I read a tip, that I haven't tried, on how to find a missing lens in your eye.  I will try it tonight after I have washed my face.

I don't think it's a fair process when the law partner of one of the candidates chosen is on the commission and doesn't see it as a conflict.

I'm sure you aren't the only candidate who feels this way.  I'm surprised it is even permitted.

I thought about making a big deal about it, but it's just not worth it. It is what it is

It wouldn't make a difference and you would be the one to look bad.  Moving forward get yourself elected to change committee rules ;)

Nah, I'm not going to bother with that.  It's not worth investing all that energy in it

Cillaliz, what do you make of this? The house has been remodeled and sold back in 2009. Can the homeowners be forced to allow her inside?

www.azfamily.com/news/273196571.html

Well, she has a right to defend herself.  The investigator is new and probably hasn't been there.  It's unusual, but I'm guessing she had a particular thing she wants to have investigated at the scene.   It is a crime scene.  She is on trial for her life.

I agree. That sounds ridiculous. Although I guess all of the others on the commission had to have liked the partner too.  But still it does not seem right because of how it is perceived.

Thanks.  I'm just glad it's over

Do you know how the "Happy Birthday To You" lawsuit came out?

I googled "birthday suit" and lots of non-topical postings came up.  I'll try something more specific

LOL!!!

At least it didn't drag on for weeks before you found out adding to the time you were in limbo waiting for the interviews.

True.  One of my friends today said what I went through was like going through the audition process for a part you really really want only to find out at the end it was promised to someone else all along

I wear soft lenses sometimes, and have indeed lost one in my eye a couple of times.  I think it's happened when I've been tired, I've worn them all day, and my eyes are a little dry.  One will obviously be off the cornea, because I'm not seeing through it -- but it can be tricky locating it.

This stuff has to sound bizarre to anyone who's never worn contacts!

I wish I could remember exactly what I finally did to get it back into place so I could remove it.  Probably tried flooding the eye with solution and rolling my eyeball around a little, and probably just waiting a couple of minutes for it to settle back.  I don't really know.  But it sure is annoying when it happens.  As I said, though, it's only happened two or three times, ever.

Back from session one and the Graae wedding.  The session was fantastic and I will go into detail in the notes.  There were only two times when we slowed down a bit, but the fact is we wrapped over an hour early and not only that we got one of tomorrow's songs so we're already ahead.  Incredible band and Lanny's charts are some of the best I've ever heard from him - and to hear my songs orchestrated like that is beyond amazing.  More later.

Was told that the wedding ceremony itself was funny and extremely touching and that there wasn't a dry eye in the house.  We got there around six and mingled until they began the entertainment for the evening.  I left about seven - just too tired and hot for me.  But what a crowd - chatted with Liz Callaway, who really wants to come and do a Kritzerland in LA and she's going to do one of the two performances of the Off-B'way show in NY, the 7:00 show.  Saw Vicki Lewis, Patrick Cassidy, Nancy Dussault, Karen Morrow, Faith Prince, Carole Cook, JoAnne Worley, Brent Barrett (he thinks he may be able to do the Sherman Brother show in NY), and lots of other terrific folk.

Then we stopped back at the hotel for an hour then nipped over to the hospital to visit Vixgrandad and Vixgranny who are today celebrating their 62nd anniversary

Happy anniversary, Vixgrandad and Vixgranny.
