DR George do you like your ?ex-brother-in-law?  It is interesting the connections we see on FB.

We no longer interact.  He's very religiously conservative, and when his daughter (my niece) came out to him, all he could do was quote his bible and say how it's not god's plan and all that.  He couldn't just show any support.  She's written him off, so there's really no need for me to see or be around him.  He does have another daughter with his current (third) wife (they've been together for close to 20 years) and my niece is fairly close to her (her half-sister, not her father's wife), but she avoids her dad unless it's absolutely necessary to be around him.

Not someone you want to be chatting with on FB.  Might you block him since you have a mutual friend?

There are a few AMAZING RACE and BIG BROTHER competitors that I have kept up with on BookFace...James and Jaymes (the Chippendale's dancers), and Natalie Cunial ('cause she lives here in Salem).

It is nice to see what they are up to, and all three of them post fairly often...James and Jaymes both post lots of pictures, which is particularly happy making  8)

Natalie had a baby a year ago, Jaymes is hosting a TV show and still dancing, and James is still dancing (and sings with a hard rock band)....for those that care.

Goodreads sent me an email that a book I want to read was released today.  I went to Keith's library account and found, since I had pre-requested it, "The Bone Clocks" by David Mitchell in my hold queue and I am 1st in line for the book out of 22 people.

Between our two accounts I am next up for a total of 4 books and 2nd in line for 1 book.  If they all come in and once I will be in a bit of a panic.

And then there's the opinionated guy who's part of the Forgotten Musicals page who posts any and all bogus political Facebook memes, then gets angry when you inform him he should take the four seconds to find out its bogus, then says he doesn't care if its bogus, then, when enough people have told him simply removes all traces of his stupidity from his page as if it never happened.

Today we got our very first actual royalty check for The Brain from Planet X.  When we made the deal, David and I were paid a really generous "advance" against royalties and its taken six years to get through that, but now anytime anyone does the show, we get paid - I knew in the last royalty statement that this time we'd get something because there was only about fifty bucks left of the original advance.  So, they've done well and we've done well and now if people keep doing the show we keep getting paid.  I noticed that there was a second UK production this year that I didn't even know about.

No, I don't think that that's necessary.  I only saw the post because he tagged a mutual friend in a post and she commented on it.  But I've never seen any of his other posts, so I doubt that I'll see (m)any more.  And this particular post was about riding a speed boat on a river through a canyon, so it wasn't anything preachy.

I'm back from Buffalo.  I'm not sure if the humidity was higher in Buffalo or Northern Virginia.   I just love air conditioning.

I just love air conditioning.

Me, too. The older I get the more I need it. I don't think I could have made it through last summer without it. The AC is on in the bedroom right now. We have had a beautiful summer and now as it ends it turns very hot and humid. Oh, well. I can't complain.

I have had a very nice, relaxing four-day weekend.  Back to work tomorrow, but only tomorrow and Thursday.  Then, it's a three-day weekend!!!

My deepest appreciation to all who have wished me birthday greetings.  I know I have, in the past, replied throughout the day to individual greetings, but I'm so happy to be "away" from the computer that I hope you won't mind if I use this one post to say "Sincerest thanks, dear friends, to Bruce, George, Mike, Ben, singdaw, Ginny, Larry "Elmo", ChasSmith, Laura, Jrand64, Kerry, Druxy, FJL, Jennifer, John G., Jane, MBarnum, Arnold M. Brockman and Kevin H.

I do hope I didn't miss anybody!

And on that note (B-natural), I'm off to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts to take part in filming an usher training movie that will be used to help train ushers for the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.

Be back later!

I sure hope it is more than that two-cent royalty check that you two had to split several years ago.
