FINISHING THE VOCALS
« on: September 04, 2014, 12:12:00 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes finished the vocals, and now it is time for you to post until the vocal cows come home.

Good morning, all! The apartment ghost drove me mad last night playing on the computer. I slept poorly, but I also had very weird dreams; the only one I remember involved the Royal Shakespeare Company doing my Appalachian show, only it was transferred to a poor Irish family and I recognized none of the music. At some point, i had to leave the production, and when I got back, my rooms had been assigned to Annalene Beechey and her family, and I could not locate anything in the apartment. I remember a bus ride with Annalene and her kids to a hospital and drain problems in the shower.

Around 8:30, I will leave for my barber and then head to Toyland.

Good morning, all.

Oy!  One long crazy dream.  Woke up feeling like a truck had run over me.  Even though that isn't what happened in the dream.

The site is really wonky this morning.  Off and on, though.  Off and on.

BTW, I only ever report such a thing when all other sites are fine, because I know the problem could be local to me.

And in other news, it already feels like a Benadryl day.

Eyes are itchy and my nose is going crazy.  We'd had a drop in temperature overnight, so the air is "different".  Supposed to be back to normal through the day, but some over-the-counter assistance is definitely called for.

Movies from the Library:

PANIC IN THE STREETS
DALLAS BUYERS CLUB
A YOUNG DOCTOR'S NOTEBOOK
HOLLYWOOD BEST CLASSIC MOVIES, WHICH INCLUDES:

ONE EYED JACKS
TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
THE WILD RIDE
THE GREAT ST LOUIS BANK ROBERY

I really borrowed the above so I could watch TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, which I have seen several times!

I also picked up THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY for $1.00 from the library.

I did read it before, but would like to read it again!

TOD:
I do my own gardening (although not too well since I work full time), and continuously fuss over all my flowering plants. I love impatiens because they bloom even when they're planted in areas that get zero sunlight. I also love petunias, but they need lots of sun so that's where I plant them. I have a couple areas where I switch out the annuals twice a year, but I mostly try to plant perennials so they last longer. I also have about 30 different rose bushes, which all have such interesting names. My favorites are the "flaming peace", "snowfire", "George Burns", "topsy turvy", "purple tiger" and "oranges and lemons".

Greetings from Toyland! It was not easy getting here today. Traffic in this City can be ridiculous.

But I like my haircut.

TOD: I love irises and have ever since I was a kid. My old Kentucky home is surrounded by them in all sorts of colors, yellow, powdered blue, purple, bronze and black. The aroma is intoxicating to me.

I tried planting a type of iris in my backyard, but it was too cold for that variety, so they only lasted a couple of years. I haven't tried any others. I do have roses, salvia, morning glory, a Mexican love vine and esperanza in the yard as well as two crepe myrtle trees, which are covered with a lilac colored flower for about five or six months of the year.

My plumbago didn't survive the summer drought, and I need to plant some more. They're a particular favorite.

My friends grow zinnias and they've been giving me some of their great bounty lately. I may try those because they're so beautiful to have around.

SlapJack, thanks for the link of the CPAP cleaner. I'll watch that later. And yes, I hate to clean mine.

Vibes for DR ELMORE's wagon.

The Dream-O-Matic is in for maintenance, but I would just say to DR ELMORE and DR CHAS SMITH that sun moving toward Libra is very likely to present us with convoluted dreams that are more to be forgotten and remembered.....  It will be much better after September 13, when more dreams of portent can be counted upon.

I made some calves' foot jelly for the play.  But I don't know what it's supposed to look like, but I am sure someone here does.

We always had lots of wild flowers growing in the yard.....I liked daisies and naked ladies and zinnias.

Now I like mums and irises and hibiscus.....and coral bells....which is more of a plant than a flower.

DD Zach is at a "dog boarding/dog day care & hotel" facility today, being evaluated. I will go and pick him up in a few hours and find out if he can get along with all the other dogs. We have never had to board him in the 13 years we have had him, but there may be some occasions coming up where he'll need to go there for a day or two. They have webcams where you can see your dog in their individual kennel and interacting with all the other dogs in the large playrooms.
