DR John have you finished watching "Country Matters" and did it turn out to be wonderful?

We decided to give Netflix a try again and I'm adding things to the queue. I hope this time round Netflix actually sends us something from our small queue.

Back from a chicken salad sandwich and no fries or onion rings. Sadly, today's sandwich has gone back to the chunky chicken with too much mayo, rather than the finely chopped stuff they've had for the last three months. I could barely get through it.

I did finish. Yes, they were very good, but I will also say that a lot of them were depressing and bleak in that Thomas Hardy kind of way.

I think I'm finally going to give up Netflix. I have almost 300 titles in my DVD queue, but I don't really take the time to watch them as much as I could/should (they are really making money from me). I now have Showtime AND Starz AND HBO (I just got a special deal for a year!), and I don't think I need to pay for the Netflix DVDs that I'm not actually taking the time to watch. I also had Amazon Prime for a full year and enjoyed the quicker shipping, but again, I never watched any of the streaming shows that were available through it. $:-\$

Our queue is gone but our rent history is still there.

This time we are going to be careful not to put too much on the queue. We kept receiving DVD's from the bottom of our queue and it was just stuff we possibly wanted to see. For years Netflix sent all our top requests and then suddenly nothing was coming from the top.

The next time we gave them a chance we didn't put much on the queue and they didn't send anything. I now have 8 items in the queue and 5 in the to be released group.

My brother loved JUSTIFIED and Keith wasn't interested at the time. I can't remember if we watched any of it. I know of few DRs watched and enjoyed it very much. Was it good to the end?

Sorry to be E and T. Didn't realize I haven't been posting all week. I'm exhausted. I'm trying to get everything done at the office and there's just too much for me to do. We had a high volume of stuff when Edith left and there have been some things I"ve had to correct and redo since she left. I think if I just get through September things will slow down enough that I can try to hire someone. Right now I don't have the time to train them. So 6-7 days a week for a few more weeks and I should be in good shape.

Band started Wednesday night. It was so nice to be back with everyone. I moved from the second row of flutes to the first row. For this concert I'm second chair. Our first chair has a wedding the day of our first concert. It's where they started me three years ago when I definitely wasn't ready to play that music. Now I am.

Back in 1999 when we saved am amusement park, a guy from my hometown who is a movie producer in LA now wanted to do a movie about save the park. He enlisted me to do research and I did a bunch of interviews etc. He later got busy and put the idea on the shelf. Well, now he wants to do it. It's been 15 years and I moved away from there 13 years ago. He wants me to do all this research and I finally had to just say "I don't have time" He seems to be ignoring that, lol. It's not going to make any difference. I just don't have time.

When the producer comes to visit, I'll try to get up there for a day or two, but don't know that I can swing more than that. I do want to spend some time with him. He's a nice guy. When he was in junior high, he decided it was time to give up this really cool electric train set. His dad brought it over and gave it to my brother who was a little kid at the time. The funny thing is, my brother still has the train, set up in the basement of his office,
