Creamy peanut butter filled cookies that melted in my mouth called Nutter Butter Creme Patties.  Does anyone remember these?

I had to laugh - Broadway World put up our new release announcement.  At the top of the page it says vote for your favorite recordings from this year.  One of the categories is best favorite solo album of all time.  Visit and look at the list and tell me what's wrong with that picture.  I'll tell you - any list that does not include any of Liz Callaway's solo albums is a list made by idiots.  Not to mention Laurie Beechman or, well, you name it, basically.  Why they do these stupid popularity flavor of the month contests is beyond me.  But the omissions, and not only stuff I've produced for some of the best singing artists ever, is shocking.

They did not include Elmore's Dearest Enemy among the best of last year's studio cast recordings. And they referred to the OBC of Follies as highlights, which may be true, but the word does not appear on any label.

I don't think I would like the Black Forest Whippets.

Whippet package:

If you like cherry flavor and oreo cookie crumbs then you would probably like it.  I really do not like store bought processed cookies very much. But these are super tasty.

I don't.  Where Mallomars, which I love, have a graham cracker base is the Whippet an Oreo like base?  The graham cracker part, IMHO, is the best part of a Mallomar which is why it is eaten last.

I got the old person's pneumonia vaccination today.  They asked if I wanted a flu shot but I turned it town.  I'm only risking one reaction at a time.

We went to Rite-Aid and they had remodeled the store.  It looks great only the chemicals from the work need to air out a bit more.  Between the smoke and the store I wasn't sure I should be getting a vaccination, but I did anyway.  I feel fine.

You don't want to put off that flu shot, though.  The VA routinely administers both shots to me when the pneumonia shot is also due.

Curious thought of the day:

What or who was the inspiration behind the dance "The Mashed Potato"?

I keep thinking about the Nutter Butter Creme Patties and do not remember they were called Nutter Butter.  I never liked the Nutter Butter cookies.  A bit of research finally found a few people who agree with me.  They also said they only have about half the peanut butter filling and don't taste as good.

Thanks DR elmore but what I'm looking for is the original packaging that probably doesn't say Nutter Butter.

Another big favorite where the Devil's Food Cakes.  On my 21st birthday, the first one after we were married, we didn't have any money but Keith found the best gift for me, a package of these cookies.

The Nabisco Pony and Devils Food Squares, what's not to love here.

These cookies are now Snack Well's Devils Food Cookie Cakes

I believe the regular whippets have a white bottom and raspberry filling (not sure if it's graham cracker). The black forest whippets have a chocolate bottom, which i prefer.

I rarely eat store bought cookies and I can't find Mallomars here, which is ok because good marshmallows are made with gelatin & that is animal.

Oreo's are finally made without animal but have Palm Oil which I try to avoid as to harvest Palm Oil we are destroying the rain forest.

Thanks to one brave Girl Scout I can safely eat their cookies but I only buy one box of Mint Thins vs the multiple boxes I used to buy, and eat.

I wanted to watch something fun tonight, so I put on a disc of episodes of an old show called "The American Musical Theater." The first episode features Richard Rodgers and he's so ugly throughout the interview, especially about Lorenz Hart, that it's not the fun I was looking for.

But the two singers, Martha Wright and John Reardon, are great.
