TOD Movies:

I love a lot of the movies from 1939 and 1975. A few from the latter:

Nashville
All the President's Men
The Day of the Locust
Jaws
Rocky Horror Picture Show
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Dog Day Afternoon
Three Days of the Condor
Shampoo
The Man Who Would Be King
Tommy
Picnic at Hanging Rock
Farewell My Lovely
Night Moves
The Drowning Pool
Cousin, Cousine

And a few personal favorites:
At Long Last Love
Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS
Smile
Supervixens
Funny Lady
Lucky Lady

I can't believe someone else actually saw Ilsa The She Wolf.....

Did you know that they filmed it on the same set as Hogan's Heroes?

I didn't know that. I also saw the sequel, Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks.

I may not watch TV, but I have seen that State Farm commercial, too, and I love it.

O-ho that Old Karma Wagon is a-comin' down the street,
Oh please let it be for me!

In about forty minutes or so I shall be on my way for the final evening of mixing.

I swear I first read that as "In about forty minutes or so I shall be on my way for the final evening of mooing."

Tonight was our brush-up "pay what you want" night (a.k.a. "get what you pay for" night).

Well, the place was packed, they loved it all, but they paid what they wanted and they got what they paid for:  the worst brain-freeze train wreck by a soprano in recent history.  :)

I have never in my life been so at a loss to know what to do.  It wasn't pretty.  We tried a couple of things then finally just went on, and about three phrases later she joined the party.

Watching another Esther Williams flick, "This Time for Keeps." It has everything but the kitchen sink: Jimmy Durante, Lauritz Melchior singing opera, Dame Mae Whittey, Xavier Cugat and his chihuahua, freak Latin dancing, Cole Porter music, and Stanley Donen choreographing the swim ballets.

It is kind of fun to walk through a lake, especially when you walk on what was once a road to enter.
Wow, and the Missouri river is running very high.  Too high to get the old casino boat downstream without it hitting the bridges on it's way down river

Time to get some sleep.  So glad I decide not to drive to the prison tomorrow.   I can set up a call, get lots done and go out for lunch. Sounds like a perfect Friday

Mix is finished, unless I listen and hear anything I want to finesse, but I think we really got it all and it just sounds great.  I made a couple more vocal fixes in the comps, Lanny did his thing and is very happy and happy this is in the can.

OK - lodgings reserved, flights booked, opera tickets purchased for Nov. 13-20 in NYC!

Now, all I need is ticket info for BK's shows...

How fun!  I Love NYC -- nothing like it!

DR MBarnum just looking at that doll will give me nightmares.  I will not watch the movie ;D

Same here -- creepy!  For some reason, reminds of the tv series Streets of San Francisco -- the episode with John Davidson!

Hello, everyone.

A very tired DR Jeanne reporting in. I find that when I have things I MUST do--appointments and such--my body understands and musters the energy. But when I have a day like today, flexible, with only should-do or would-like-to-do stuff, my body will say, "No way!" It lets me know that it's in charge. In other words, I think several months of stress have caught up with me and I'm just really worn out.

I know the feeling -- stress is a bugger!  Hope you can de-stress as the weekend is almost upon us!
