Good morning, all! Today I must head down to Toyland, accomplish what I need, and get home quickly as possible. Yesterday, I worked on the Paint Your Wagon overture, and I'll begin the opening number when I get home. Joshie sent me an email asking if I wanted to see On The Town with him tonight, and I think I will say yes. I really want to see it, and this may be my only chance.

I am very curious about Sting's The Last Ship. My friend Peter Foley is helping Sting with the score, and I really love the bit of music in the TV commercial.

And I am off to Toyland.

Since you brought up the subject of ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, one of my favorite gangster movies, what is your take on the film's controversial ending?

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

Is the whole movie a dream?

Or, is that final shot of DeNiro a remembrance of happier days past?

BTW: I've seen the restored scenes on YouTube, and I really don't think they add anything significant to the story.

Greetings from Toyland! Something happened at 50th and Seventh Avenue: ambulances, fire trucks, and Channel 7 news trucks. It took us 30 minutes to get through midtown, and my bus ride this morning took over 70 minutes to get me here.

Continuing the saga of my press release: I posted yesterday on the paper's Facebook page and my own complaining about the disclaimer. On their page, they responded with an email address to send it directly to the newsroom for Butler County (it's a Dayton-based conglomerate). This morning I received this email from Amy in the Butler County newsroom:
