And the World Goes 'Round arrived in my mailbox today!

No such luck here today.  I'm back to being a day or two behind deliveries to the Midwest.

I'm up, I'm up.  I was up at four and don't know when I fell back asleep but I think I got about six or seven hours all told.

I've read about the dream ending and I suppose that could be a valid interpretation, but I also think he could just be remembering happier times.

In honor of Julie Andrew's birthday, here she is singing two gems from She Loves Me:

"He Loves Me"   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WWzlkkm4HQ

"Dear Friend"   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DanyQEhQ9RQ

Recorded for the film adaptation with Dick van Dyke, which sadly never happened.

Very nice.  Too bad a recording wasn't released, even if the movie wasn't made.  I wonder if that might still be a possibility...it could be billed as a "studio cast recording."

And in mine...well, actually it was waiting for me on my chair, here at work.  I was in a meeting with a new rep from one of our vendors, but it's here!! :D

I have been there.  The castle is right by Cong, the town in which they shot THE QUIET MAN.

My former clients, director John Hancock and his wife, actress Dorothy Tristan, just send me a Blu-Ray of the movie they just finished shooting in Indiana, SWAN SONG.

Looking forward to watching it tonight.

I learned what caused the fracas in midtown at 9:00 this morning. A huge metal rod got away from a work crew and fell 100 feet, injuring several people.

Haven't heard the whole new And the World Goes Round CD yet, but what I have listened to so far sounds fantastic. I listened to the original first to refresh my memory. So far, I like the new recording much better.

I restrained myself from mentioning that she regularly used phrases such as "Me and her was going there"  and "I seen that"

LOL Maybe you should have educated her.

From DR Mike:
Quote
The thyroid doctor will call me tomorrow to discuss "a plan of care" as the phone message said today.

I am wondering what that means. Is it better than I thought it would be or worse? I will be anxious to hear what he has to say.

It means the doctor was busy today, or at least busy the rest of the day after you received the message.  Were you given a time to be available?  Good or bad I think it is the doctor who needs to discuss the results with you.

Good luck with the thyroid results and the new MRI!

I had a great hike this morning with my group on this beautiful day.  We have a new hiker who was there with her dog.  I was thrilled as the dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog named Casey that was friends with Sherlock.  They were pups together and Casey is now 8 and as sweet as ever.  It was also bittersweet.  As I was leaving I told the woman to say hello to her husband and found out he died last year. :(

In celebration of the cooler weather and the switch to a later meeting time, and boy did I need that extra hour of sleep, one of the hikers had us over for breakfast following the hike.  It was nice enough to sit on her deck and enjoy the delicious feast she served.
