Starting to watch "John Carter," which I think will be fun, despite the reception it received when it played theaters.

I had enjoyed the Burroughs books, and while this will be tame (it is Disney), the beginning is fun and true to the first novel.

So, today I got the liner notes and track stuff done for one release. But the release I'd already done the notes and track stuff for suddenly had to change directions - it's a multi-score album and they just found a lot more cues for two of the films - so, we now are pulling those two titles from the album and replacing them with two others. Hopefully, they'll let me know which two will fit and then I can adjust the notes quickly, but that's going to take a couple of weeks. So, I put another score on the fast track and I've just done the edit road map for that and the track listing and will, heaven help me, try to get those notes done tonight.

i finally found one thing I was looking for. My nieces needed some postcards of Vancouver. I used to collect postcards (trade them) and i have a lot. But unfortunately there are things on top of the postcard boxes. Luckily after a short time looking i found the box with the Vancouver ones.

A few years ago, I found a DEAD mouse UNDER MY DESK!!

I e-mailed our facilities manager and he sent someone to bag it up and take it away.

Also, it is great to have all the songs that got left off the original album. I think the flow of the recording is much the better for having them included.

I love the medleys where all the songs combine at the end. That's David Loud's work, and he has made a kind of specialty out of that kind of arrangement. They are always special.

Jason on "Marry Me" made me forget Jason Alexander. Hard thing to do, as his performance in the original "Rink" is indelibly etched on the brain.

Well, nothing was easy about the recording due to the fact that the original horns were not up to the task. They didn't want to listen to me and I warned them what would happen if I didn't hire my top guys. And it happened just as I said. The Shoes dance was the last thing recorded and I honestly didn't think it would ever make the album. But, after I did the initial mix, we brought in my guys and redid the horns on two-thirds of the album, and they actually managed to get through the Shoes Dance and save it. They did a great job and that's why the album sounds so good. I simply would not have issued it with the other players.

Kyra is AMAZING. She's hilarious on Grass Is Always Greener with Christiane. I loved working with everyone, but Kyra was new to me and we just got along great and she was so easy to work with. Trying to get her to do the December Kritzerland show.
