Are there any states that don't require an emissions test?

Minnesota used to, but does not currently.

Iowa doesn't and I don't think South Dakota or Nebraska do either. Wikipedia says there are 19 states that don't require emission tests

TOD:

I was in a theater watching "Gladiator".   It is one of those theaters that has a cup holder and I had a large soda in the one by my seat.  I had my jacket over the back of the seat.   I got up for a quick trip to the men's room.   When I returned, a woman was in my seat.

I approached her and said, "You're in my seat."  She looked at me suspiciously and said, "There are plenty of other seats in this theater that are unoccupied."

"Yes," I agreed, "but those seats don't have my soda in the cup holder and my jacket on the back of the seat.  The one you are in DOES have those things."

She jumped up and scurried away.

In today's world she probably would have thrown your drink at you.

Or shot him.

Mt. Fitz Roy, Patagonia, Argentina:

I have been to Patagonia, but I don't remember it looking like that.

I gotta tell you.  Mostly a fun day, but then I found out that they shorted us by at least 100 booklets and tray cards for Rio Conchos - I think we'll be able to get most of them out, and what doesn't go out tomorrow will go out on Monday or Tuesday.

I am going to get some Ginger tablets tomorrow which is supposed to help the vertigo and dizziness....

Sad to say, they didn't seem to help me much, but I wish much better luck for your mother. The dizziness and nausea eventually did go away on their own, but...    no fun.

I doubt anything would help your dizziness, SlowPoke.

Bruce it is true there is a lot of crap on facebook, however, we can remove or block people if we find them too annoying.  We can also hide conversations.

Normally, by the time you can hide the conversation, the damage is already done.  A good friend posted some horrible animal abuse photos because she thought we all needed to see them.  I did not!

Kevin I can imagine your concern-congrats you passed.

Are there any states that don't require an emissions test?

Washington doesn't...at least, I've never had to take my car in for an emissions test.

But you have to have your car inspected every other year in Washington.

So far ours isn't great either.  I'm sure it is due to the drought.

I agree with some of those.  I'm ok with the ones to fund medical bills or find homes for the animals.

I agree with the funding and finding homes but don't want to see the abuse, you can tell me you need funds without the photos

If they want me to see animal abuse, give me a web address, and I will decide if I want to see it.  Don't post photos that I have to see while trying to eat dinner!  no one has the right to force me to see those photos.

In my younger days I used to be a regular at the Wednesday night midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  One night the sound systems failed during the opening credits - the entire theatre spoke all the dialog and sang all the songs right through to the tire blowout when the sound finally came back on

Beautiful autumn leaves!

I could post a photo of the house across the street. But there is nothing but gravel in that yard.

TOD: I was in a movie theater with the children watching a DISNEY MOVIE, and some creep in the seat next to me kept putting his hand on my knee and running his fingers up my leg.

A DISNEY MOVIE!

That's the last time I was in a movie theater. Ick.

I don't really have a good movie story....I did go to CATFISH and I was the only one in the theater, literally, the only person at a late show.  The movie is a bit creepy and about 1/2 way through someone walked in and I could see them standing to the side, they stood there in the dark then left.   I figure it was someone who works there, but it really creeped me out.

Seriously a lone scream during a creepy movie  probably wouldn't draw much attention...
