Drama on Facebook.  That should be the title of something or other.

Last night KevinH mentioned his anticipation at seeing Angela Lansbury in "Blithe Spirit" in DC next year.  I have an aisle seat Orchestra section ticket to see Ms. Lansbury as Madame Arcati in a matinee performance on January 31, 2015 in San Francisco.

Am very much looking forward to it.

Well, the reports are in.  It's official.  I have a cold.  And with the final weekend of AVENUE Q to pull off.  I shall have to do my best not to sneeze and cough into everyone's face tonight.

Edit:  Three (count 'em) typos corrected.  Oy!

CHINATOWN is one of my all time favorite films also. Definitely my favorite "film noir" even though it is in Technicolor and made in the mid 1970s. I agree that everything about it is perfect, from the simple beginning with a P.I. working on a routine cheating husband case to the ever building conspiracy. And it's about the town we live in, Los Angeles, and its sordid history. I thought Faye Dunaway deserved the Oscar but the Academy voters thought differently. She did win an Oscar the very next year for NETWORK but I thought that should have been at least her second if not third with BONNIE AND CLYDE being her first. As for the score, I get goosebumps the second the opening chords are struck. It is so haunting and you just know you are if for a tragic tale.

I got a ticket when Bryan was a baby and another policeman told me I should fight it.  I would have but they wouldn't let me in with Bryan.

I believe I am up.  I didn't get to sleep until about two-thirty, but I slept right through till I woke up at ten-thirty, so eight hours and a good eight hours.

I got my cold the night before we opened "The Complete Works...."  It's now the second weekend and my cold is still lingering.  I hate that. :P

I really enjoyed Filichia's column on "A Time for Singing" today.

Am grateful to have the original Broadway cast recording!

It feels strange to be at work today.  First, I'm one of two people on "my side" of our office, and the other person has been in a meeting all morning.

Now, I'm covering a desk on the 10th floor because one person is out having surgery and the other person who would be here to spell the third person for lunch was off to Sacramento this morning for an interview for a permanent position in a different field of work.

And here I sit alone on the 10th floor with everyone in the near-vicinity gone.

If none of that makes sense, I'm covering lunch break of the only other person who was up here before I came up her to relieve her for lunch.
