We lost power during the night. I figured out the power was out when I found myself in the bathroom without a night light and the light switch didn't work. Fortunately there was a spare flashlight on the counter. I really should have taken the one next to my bed but I could see until I got to the bathroom.

Hello! Earlier I watched Julie, a movie starring Doris Day. I think I saw it about 40 years ago and didn't remember that much about it, except of course for the ending, which has been lampooned over the years. I enjoyed it!

I also saw "Honeymoon in Vegas," which I had recorded a while ago in anticipation of the new musical version coming to Broadway. I thought it was pretty ridiculous, but who knows, maybe the musical will be better!

I got one about three years ago - I still got the flu, though. They make me nervous, but maybe I'll get one soon.

Getting a flu shot doesn't mean you won't get a different strain of the flu, which is why we opted for the quad Cilla mentioned. If you immediately got the flu it might have been a reaction to the shot.

Well, the hope is I'm not sick - I just feel a bit logy and I was around someone early in the week who had it, but who knows what the person actually had - may not have been the flu. I think if I can make it through the weekend I'll be fine.

It doesn't sound like you have the flu. I go early for my shot before my allergies get bad & I never know if I'm coming down with a cold or not.

It's not too far from where I live. There are a number of trees like that around here. That one was particularly nice

Are there really documented cases of people getting the flu from getting the flu shot? I've just never believed that.

I get the shot every year, and have never gotten the flu, thank goodness!
