Page 2! Here's a picture of Mom and me at a Halloween party in the early '60s.  I was a wind-up doll with a big foil-covered cardboard key on my back.  Mom was, well, Mom...

LIBRARY FINDS THIS WEEK:

SON OF GOD  ( I Renewed it, watched it last night)  EXCELLENT!!!

TEA WITH MUSSOLINI, I saw it many years ago and can't remember much, so I thought I would try it again.  Anything with Cher,
I usually like.  Also starring Judi Dench, Joan Plowright, Maggie Smith, and Lily Tomlin.

HELEN

THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL,  I also saw this a few years ago, another one I thought was EXCELLENT.  I highly recommend!

GOD'S POCKET,  One of Phillip Seymour Hoffman's last movies.

MONUMENTS MEN

WORDS AND PICTURES

Have any DR"S seen these.  Comments please!!!

Something I had downloaded added something to my iGoogle homepage, and it was playing a Verizon commercial....audio only.....one or twice an hour.  I couldn't find the download OR extension, so I just started using a new homepage....iGooglePortal.....which is similar.....

Rain is moving into the Bay Area...just in time for the Victory Parade for the S.F. Giants!

The 41st Annual Village Halloween Parade ends at our street (literally, it goes from Spring Street and 6th Avenue in Soho to 16th Street and 6th Avenue in Chelsea) so we don't leave the house after 6 or 6:30. It becomes a madhouse. We can see most of the remnants of the parade from our window so there is no need to try and beat the crowds and watch it on the street. We just watch the dispersing crowd from our window.

I've marched in the parade once and been caught up in the parade once, and that's more than enough.

DR Kate, I remember little about Tea with Mussolini, other than the cast. While not great, it left me thoroughly entertained.

After several awkward hours with Fed Ex, the driver just showed up and collected my shipment.  I was convinced it was screwed up until Monday.

I wish DR vixmom would watch "Rosemary's Baby".  Not only will she see a great film, but a film with great performances and it would be her first Polanski film.

Great pictures, Ginny and Ron!

Hey...I just realized that Ginny and Ron are also both Weasleys in the "Harry Potter" series.

What a coinkydink. ;)

I'm up, I'm up - I slept over eleven hours.  And now I have to hurry to make my one o'clock lunch meeting - but I guess I really needed that.  I think I'm feeling better this morning.

DR Jane re: my mom being out of the country and telling people things.

No she isn't emailing people she is video chatting on the ipad.  The thing with my niece had just happened the same morning.  It was just weird that my sister called me at 8am and my mom had already told me (since she had talked to her at 7am). :)

Video chatting while traveling-funny.

I am hoping it won't rain tonight.

It rained all night here and then we lost power this morning.  I had a break from the rain while I did errands and now it is back.
