Well, you've read the notes, the notes turned back the clocks, and it is now time for you to post until the turned back cows come home.

It's 5:16am (yesterday it would have been 6:16AM) and it's 43 degrees.

Well, "TAO of the Dead 2" is finished.  Overall, it was successful, but not as successful as last year's.  But we still made a profit, and had a good crowd and good performers, so that's what's important.

It was a very long day.  I got there at about 12:15 pm and didn't get home until about 1:30 am (before the daylight saving change-over).  And since I'm not in bed asleep yet, I don't get an extra hour of sleep.  I get an extra hour of staying awake before I go to sleep.

So, I'm going to bed now because I have to work concessions this afternoon.  What was I thinking??  Fortunately, I don't need to be at the theater until 1:30 pm.  I'm bringing my Kindle, so I'll have something to do when I'm not watching the student orchestras.

Have a good day, all!

I also saw RAGTIME when it was at the Shubert.

Loved it.  Great score.  I wish they would make it into a movie.

In fact, it's one of my favorite musicals.

Yesterday, I was watching some episodes from CHEYENNE, Season 3

One of them was called "Devil's Canyon".  There was something familiar about this episode's plot, but I couldn't put my finger on it...until about halfway through.

Then, it suddenly dawned on me:  I was watching a Western version of THE MALTESE FALCON.

In earlier episodes of CHEYENNE, I easily recognized the plots of TREASURE OF SIERRA MADRE and TO HAVE AND HAVE NOT, but this one baffled me for awhile.

Warner Brothers certainly knew how to make full use of the literary properties they owned.

DR DRUXY I saw a 77 Sunset Strip version of TO HAVE AND HAVE NOT - I have read that during a particular writer's strike during the 1960's, the Warner Bros. reused a lot of their movie scripts for their television shows and credited a writer named Hermanos Warner.....check the credits of that episode, maybe that was one of them.

I didn't see RAGTIME, I saw PARADE.....I don't know what I was thinking.

I would like to see RAGTIME.....we shall see if that happens.  I liked the movie.

Performance vibes for MR BK & Co this evening.  I am certainly looking forward to the CD release announcement tomorrow morning.  I have been saving my money.

An hour and forty-five minutes???

And BK is absolutely positively certain for sure et cetera et cetera et cetera that that didn't include the late start?

I just checked the audio recording of our dress rehearsal, and it comes in at exactly 1:30.

That 1:30 is with no cuts, by the way.

Except maybe a minute's worth, because they take the two album cuts in "The Gettin' Ready Rag", which we can probably blame on the choreographer.  It wouldn't be the first time I've seen them go with what's on a CD for convenience.

I thought DR Laura said she left her duck alone today.

Where's that second cup of coffee?

Feel better vibes to DR Vixmom.

Back vibes for DR TCB.

I wish  knew how my computer did this but it is now on french keyboard. So no vibes.  I have no idea what i did to change it.  When the computer reboots it will change back so it is not such a bad thing.  Just no vibe button.

DR Jennifer, was OMENS a quick read like her other books?  I just got it in from my library and prefer to read it before another book that must be read in time for my book group discussion on the 11th

Are you talking about Kelley Armstrong?   Is it a quick read like what other books (her Nadia Stafford series?).  The book is almost 500 pages.  It actually took me more than a week to read it (although i do not know what else i was doing at the time).  I have actually already read book two in the series, Visions. I enjoyed both very much.

It took me a long time to figure out how to change the time on one of my phones.  It was some crazy combination of buttons to finally see the time key.
