I've got a really tangled mess with "I Still See Elisa" from Paint Your Wagon: the full score is in A, going up to B-flat on the second refrain, and the orchestra parts and vocal score are in C with no key change.  I have to mentally transpose every single note as I check it out an it's exhausting.

I liked the photos from RAGTIME from DR CHAS SMITH....it looks like quite a Lush Budget Production.

Lush Budget Productions is the name of my new franchise.

Right you are, DR Jrand64.  The set is a fairly simple replication of the standard, but the lighting and costumes and singing and other stuff seem to be there in sufficient force.

Greetings from Toyland! I love my podiatrist; she's fantastic.

I will be here for another 30 minutes at most before I head home.

In today's NY Times, there's a fun article on the three leads in the On the Town revival:

Today is Election Day. I already voted 3 weeks ago. I like the convenience of voting by mail, but I kind of miss the civic-mindedness of the polling place.

I will be housesitting in the Oakland Hills for a week and a half starting tomorrow.   I may have mentioned I did same back in June (or was it July?).

Two kitties and three chickens will be relying upon me, as well.  It's a three-level house with LOTS of stairs, but it's ever so spacious and I need a vacation from my tiny condo.

I'm up, I'm up - I think I got eight hours.  Once again they are shooting a commercial up the street - the paper they left clearly states where they are permitted to park and that is NOT to the east of them, which means not in front of my house and yet the dressing rooms trailer is parked there.  As soon as I'm up a bit more I will call the location manager and raise a stink.

Bruce I would have to hear "I See Rainbows" to know if I remember it.  I'm more likely to remember songs you were writing at the time, such as "I'm In Like With You" (I have an image but can't remember the name of the girl you wrote that for).

UPDATE

Saw my knee doctor. He wants me to be off my feet for another 4 weeks. If there is no improvement then he'll talk surgery. He doesn't want to rush into surgery. If there is no improvement then he will go in "clean" the area. The last thing he wants to do is a knee replacement.

UPDATE #2
As for the thyroid situation hopefully by the end of week a final decision will be made about what they are going to do,

Off your feet, as in sitting with your leg up all day?  :(

CONTINUED VIBES!!!

Just had a little chat with the production manager of the shoot.  He had a little attitude when he opened his trap so I shut that down so fast I think it shocked him.  He actually said, "We have the right to park on a city street" to which I replied "You really don't want to do down that road with me because I will have you out of here so fast it will make your head spin."  He then offered me money, which I refused, and then said they'd had to improvise because some neighbors where they were supposed to park hadn't moved their cars and they didn't want to tow them - I suggested they tow them immediately.  He then said he'd save me a space across the street and I said that would be fine.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts about Dylan in yesterday's posts (and also thoughts about Toby, and to Jane for posting that photo of Toby and Dylan in their begging-for-food prime).

I know how very, very much these boys were loved and how very hard it is for you now.

DR Jane (or any other DRs) have you ever listened to an audio book?

My library just got three new audio books.  Two are for books that I am going to be reading in the next few weeks. One is for a book that I just read a month or two ago.  I have never listened to an audio book before but I am curious.  So I put in a reservation for the two that I will be reading. I thought maybe I could try to listen at the same time i am reading the book that goes with it (not listen while i am reading, but alternate or listen to some passages after i have read them).

I know a lot of people who love audio books. But i have been hesitant because i like reading and feel like listening would be taking something away from the book.  I am always curious at people who write book reviews after only listening to the audio.

I used to try and get Keith to do this when we traveled and we could listen together.  He wasn't interested.  For awhile he was listening to them at the gym but I have never done it.  Now I can't with my lousy hearing.

What I gather from people who listen to the audio books is the right storyteller can enhance the enjoyment & often bring out the humor in the book.  Often they will begin choosing the books they listen to by who is narrating.

Blackstone Audio, one of the leading audio books makers, is in Ashland.  Locals can go in and browse and purchase books.

George Guidell is one of my favorites. Another is Frank Muller.

Good compromise.  Of course he should have just apologized from the beginning and explain his problem.
