We watched JERSEY BOYS last night.

Enjoyed it, particularly the ending number.

My only issue was that, in the 3rd act, the story lost its momentum.  It became Frankie Valli's story, whereas up to that point it had been the story of the group.

The scenes with the daughter could and should have been eliminated.

Saturday morning greetings!  DR Ben's restaurant suggestions are much better than mine, so I will defer to others' wishes.  He's right, our walking is somewhat curtailed this visit, although Richard is doing quite well - considering.

Thanks, DR Jane.  He even went up and down (which is worse) the steep and very narrow stairway at the yarn shop in DR Elmore's neighborhood.  He drew the line, though, at swing dancing.

I just printed out a $25 coupon for the ICON "HighRise Parking" on 71st Street, and, as backup, $25 coupons for others on 68th and 66th Streets -- a fact which should be of interest to no one, except perhaps Vixmom who is probably parking elsewhere this time but who, like me, is only too happy to follow Other People's Parking Exploits.

Also, it was a post.  So what the hey.

Yeah, well, we won't be doing any of that either, DR Singdaw!

Good morning, all! I slept late. I've been very tired lately.

Now that I am up and moving, I have various and sundry things to accomplish, mostly work on Paint Your Wagon and a vocal score for Jerome Moross' Civil War musical Gentlemen Be Seated.  i'm happy the Moross work came through since i hope it will help to pay my way through Christmas.

I've also decided to put up on eBay some expensive books I own and hope they sell at a good price. I hate to do it, but I've got to survive until some good paying work comes in.

Knee and walking vibes for DH RICHARD.....

I have been waiting for the #hatbarcode controversy to erupt on the inner web after DR SINGDAW's faux pas last night, but so far it's been pretty quiet.

I am going to go to the Healthcare.gov site to see what I can get for 2015.  I got a letter that told me my premium would go up about $48 per month, which makes it higher than my subsidy, so I'm going to get another policy that will be under my subsidy total.

I can only get the coverage until the end of August when I become Jrand65 and become eligible for Medicare, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

I'm crossing that same bridge in December 2015, DR JRand, and trying not to think about it.

Is anyone toting a real camera, or just cell phones?

I just might bring my real one tonight and hopefully get a few better pieces of photographic evidence than I would with the phone.

Don't know who's planning on dinner tonight/late afternoon but I think it's Ginny, Richard, Deb, Kevin and me. Is there anyone else? Larry are you coming for dinner or just the show? Fred are you coming for dinner or you will just be there for the 9pm show?

If we do dinner I suggest sometime around 4:30 (4pm if we go to Arties on 83rd). 4:30 will give us plenty of time to eat, socialize and then get to 72nd by 6:30 ish so we can get settled for the show.

If we don't do dinner and just meet at the theatre at 6:30, that's fine too. I'm just throwing out suggestions.
