When we get 2 to 4 inches, we call it a blizzard.

I liked Pamela Reed until she hit Carroll Baker with a baseball bat in Kindergarten Cop.

Then you must have been really upset with Peter Lawford in HARLOW.

The word blizzard originated in my hometown, Estherville, Iowa  :)

Very interesting DR CILLA LIZ.....I don't think I would call what we're expecting a blizzard....but it's an inconvenience to be sure.

Yes, the storms are inconvenient.  I think for it to be a blizzard the wind has to be over 35 mph for at least 3 hours.  We just had snow. No blizzard

DR Cillaliz summer is my favorite season and winter is my least favorite. :)

I know some people like winter.  And I know some people like snow.  But I guess when you are used to so much snow it is pretty rare for most adults to be wanting it to snow early.  Because of shoveling and driving conditions...

I can't open the video, so I have no idea what Leslie did to Ms. Baker.  I think I meant Peter Lawford who played her husband - briefly.

DR Jennifer, there are winters when we get a lot of snow.  When I was growing up I remember school being closed for a week because they couldn't get the road open.  But the last few years, we haven't had much at all and I was disappointed. I would be happy if all your snow came here :)

Pretty much memorized DR TCB......two of the best scenes in an otherwise mediocre movie.....as Carroll Baker wrote in her memoirs:

I told Joseph E. Levine that I had a contract to do the movie with another producer-director, and he said "I piss on this contract.....I piss on that movie....and I piss on you."

Then she tells the story of how the movie was made....and the chapter closes as she writes:

"In the end, he pissed on the contract, he pissed on the movie, and he pissed on me....."

She forgot the audience.....

The last big snow storm we had was five or six years ago.  It was the first time I ever remeber them predicting that we would have 8 to 10 inches of snow over night.  We proved them wrong.  We got sixteen inches instead.

Jennifer, I agree with Cilla.  My favorite season is Autumn, but I love snow.  I would love it if we could have a white Christmas.

Looks like we're the first ones home from the first show.  Several of us went for dessert, while DRs Vixmom, KevinH, and FJL stayed for the second show.  The one we saw went swimmingly - BK and company should be very pleased.

Hi Jeanne!  I had a post saying "Boo" or whatever to my happy snow post on facebook. So I announce that I was deleting all negative posts about the snow.  I immediately got another negative post from the same person, lol.  I deleted it

Well I dislike snow, so I did find it odd that you would be happy to see it.  There may be a bit of snow here tomorrow (when i checked earlier it said less than 1 cm). i am not too worried about that, but I think there could be more on monday which i really do not want. Maybe you can take my snow. :)

I guess I had better get out my winter boots.  I will stick with snows until there is snow.

This isn't aimed at you personally and I understand that others don't feel the way I do, but winter is my favorite season and summer is my least favorite.  Every year I am so happy that it snows and if I say that, people start telling me no it's bad and going off on some rant against winter.  I am tired of it and I'm not going to put up with it on my facebook page. I am also going to stop being quiet about liking winter.  I've started telling anyone who grouses about it in an elevator or walking down the halls in our building or wherever that it's my favorite season and I really don't want to hear their complaints.  Of course, they can still complain, I just don't want to listen to it.

I'm with DR Cillaliz on this! Give me snow and slush over heat and humidity any time.

And I am home from a wonderful show. It was quite a wonderful evening and BK was a charming, funny host, just the kind you want because you know that with him as a guide the journey will be fun, a little crazy perhaps, and full of heart. The artists were delightful and the evening was filled with wonderful performances.  My friend Dan Callaway, whom I've known since he was in the Encores! production of WHERE'S CHARLEY, was quite demented with his song from THE JUNGLE BOOK and really heartbreaking in his song from BUSKER ALLEY. I loved Richard Sherman's performances of "Chim Chim Chirree" and "Feed the Birds," and he and our mighty host sang their delightful "Two Roads," another highlight.  It was all quite delightful, and I wish you all could have been there.

I got to see my friend Chris Denny who was the MD, after the show and my friend the great Marni Nixon, whom I'd not seen since a bus ride n the 104 bus about 18 months ago. I also got to meet two friends of our DR ChasSmith, Chrissie and her husband Nathan, who were quite delightful. I'm ready for tomorrow's event. I think it's going to be good!

Just got back from Dessert and a show at Stage 72/The Triad. We all had a wonderful time and the show is quite excellent. I'm very glad I got to see it. Mr. Sherman is a rare and wonderful prize and we're lucky that Bruce knows him and that the show was put together for all to see.

Thanks, Bruce, for a great evening.

Maybe people who have mild winters and not a lot of snow want snow.  It gets cold here and we have way too much snow so I am in no hurry for it.  I am really hoping that we don't get snow till at least December.
