Pictures were taken but not by me so I have nothing to post, picture-wise. Those will come from Vixmom and possibly others.

After the show we spent about 10 minutes outside talking to the lovely Miss Marni Nixon (a dear friend of Larry's). She, too, is a treasure.

Good night, all! Thank you, BK, for a great evening. I hope the second show had a good turnout.

So how many people were there for the first show?

Nobody tells me anything.

There is a great idea.  Get Miss Marni Nixon to record "TWO ROADS."

How cool is that.  You goto see Bruce's show, you get to see the legendary Richard Sherman sing two of his most famous songs from MARY POPPINS, and on the way out the door you get to meet a second legend, Miss Marni Nixon.

Back from two wonderful shows.  There were some terrific singers.  I especially liked Sarah Uriarte Berry and Madison (don't know her last name).  It was so great hearing Richard Sherman sing and play the piano.  He and BK were great on "Two Roads."  Mr. Sherman was so nice to sign my Mary Poppins and Sherman Brothers CDs.

The second show also had a really nice turnout, though I don't know how many exactly, BK probably has the actual numbers.

Indeed.  The evening was a complete delight, and many of you have beat me to saying all the positive things I would say myself.

Richard Sherman is nothing less than a national treasure, and this show is such a wonderful tribute.

Loved BK's patter, and the duet with Hadley Miller was one of highlights of the evening.

I'll have much more to say, as I catch my breath!

Hi Jeanne!  I had a post saying "Boo" or whatever to my happy snow post on facebook. So I announce that I was deleting all negative posts about the snow.  I immediately got another negative post from the same person, lol.  I deleted it

Well I dislike snow, so I did find it odd that you would be happy to see it.  There may be a bit of snow here tomorrow (when i checked earlier it said less than 1 cm). i am not too worried about that, but I think there could be more on monday which i really do not want. Maybe you can take my snow. :)

I guess I had better get out my winter boots.  I will stick with snows until there is snow.

This isn't aimed at you personally and I understand that others don't feel the way I do, but winter is my favorite season and summer is my least favorite.  Every year I am so happy that it snows and if I say that, people start telling me no it's bad and going off on some rant against winter.  I am tired of it and I'm not going to put up with it on my facebook page. I am also going to stop being quiet about liking winter.  I've started telling anyone who grouses about it in an elevator or walking down the halls in our building or wherever that it's my favorite season and I really don't want to hear their complaints.  Of course, they can still complain, I just don't want to listen to it.

I'm with DR Cillaliz on this! Give me snow and slush over heat and humidity any time.

:)

Jennifer, I agree with Cilla.  My favorite season is Autumn, but I love snow.  I would love it if we could have a white Christmas.

Maybe people who have mild winters and not a lot of snow want snow.  It gets cold here and we have way too much snow so I am in no hurry for it.  I am really hoping that we don't get snow till at least December.

LOL Jennifer, I've never heard an Iowa winter called mild. It's going to be 7 degrees tonight with a 35 mph wind.  It's ok if you don't like winter...there are many folks who agree with you about that  :)

Kevin, FJL and I stayed for teh second show which was just as much fun as the first

It would be so hard for me to choose  a favorite it was all so good but Dan Halloway's "I Wanna Be Liek You" had a us all rolling with laughter and the I was blown away by the talent of all three of the girls

I found it hard to believe that the same little girl that played her Mary Poppins album over and over and over was sitting there watching and listening Richard Sherman (his very self!) singing "Feed The Birds"

and then I was allowed to shake his hand  and have my pitcher took with  him as well!

And I also was able to meet the amazing Marni Nixon---

What a dream, Vixmom.  I played that same album over and over and Feed The Birds was my favorite song.  It always made me cry
