Deb, I assume that you have a Windows-based PC (not Apple, even though you have an IPad). Perhaps you an e-mail your pictures to yourself and retrieve them from your PC.

If not, then perhaps your photos are automatically backed up to an Apple cloud. You could go there perhaps and get the pictures.

IPads don't have USB ports but you could get a USB adaptor that goes into your power socket and then you could plug a USB flash drive in and take the pictures off the IPad.

Sorry for my absence yesterday. A last-minute change in the DH's family holiday plans meant a long and unexpected detour to the southern part of the state right after work on Wednesday. The weather wan't great, so the trip was fraught, and from there it was pretty much non-stop until dinner concluded last night and we were finally home. All in all it was really lovely; just not the calm respite I had been expecting. We were 16 for dinner (which I did not have to prepare), including a gaggle of young children, which was fun.

DR ChasSmith, I am delighted that you will be playing She Loves Me, by far my favorite Broadway show and score. I am hoping for your sake that the rental materials now include a properly notated score, instead of that dreadful hand-written thing that they used to send.

I'm trying to think now, but I believe we ate turkey, stuffing, green salad, popovers, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, and for dessert, pumpkin pie and/or oreo pie.

And what might I be stuffed with, you ask?

Lots of little appetizer thingies throughout the day, and then the usual stuff, but all lovingly and carefully prepared:  turkey, sage sausage and cranberry and apple stuffing (mine), mashed potatoes, gravy drenching all of the above, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce (mine), green bean/crispy onion ring casserole, tossed salad (mine), and garlic bread (mine).

There was also a pasta course because, well, with a couple of these people there is always a pasta course.  Cavatelli and a wonderful homemade marinara in which was cooked meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni.  I was careful to only have a three-bite helping of this, as it is very filling and I would have been stuffed before I got to the stuffing.

There were half a dozen of us and this was a group effort.  My contributions went over smashingly.  My own libation of choice was a nouveau beaujolais which, after years of ignoring them, I'm very much enjoying now as a light accompaniment to this meal.

Desserts were pumpkin pie, apple pie, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and tiramisu -- and believe it or not, I had not one bite of any of it, I was so stuffed.  There's that word again.  I had a cup of coffee, and that was that for me.  But there are leftovers galore, and I shall set to them today, with gusto.

I am guessing it is pretty easy to take photos on your IPAD as my sister and dad do it very often.

I do have a turkey in my freezer. I should have made not-Thanksgiving-here turkey yesterday.

DR Jane glad you were able to play with the kids.

I don't know how many musicians there will be or whether he's piano-conducting or just conducting, so I have no idea what he's planning on having me play.  I have a PDF of that handwritten score, which I'll use now to start getting familiar with the proceedings.
