DR Cillaliz--I saw yesterday's post about DirecTV. My understanding is that your antenna has to face south. My balcony faces north.

Re dubbing.  I had no idea Deborah Kerr wasn't singing--Marni's voice matches perfectly.  Not so much with Natalie Wood or Audrey Hepburn, imho.

Watching a very long documentary - I've seen it before and it should and could have been so great, but due to a director who makes it all about himself, with droning, pretentious and awful narration spoken by a voice I cannot stand.  A real pity.

No, it isn't, DR Jane.  We may have had a significant conversational break-through...

Funny, I just thought our dish was located in a convenient spot.

My friends Emily Skinner and Ray Sheen are in MAME at the Virginia Rep.  The wonderful critic Iain reviews it:

Positive vibes on the break-through.

On the way to Costa Rica we saw my 90 year old aunt.  The stress of taking care of my uncle, whom I have learned from my cousin has Alzheimer's.  The last time I saw him we had a decent conversation.  Now I wonder if he knew who I was.  Back to my aunt.  I am worried about her now, not that she has Alzheimer's but something disturbing happened while we were talking.  My cousin in-law & I told Keith & my cousin about it later.

BTW, this is not the cousin who has the wife that needed/needs mega vibes.

Well, you've read the notes, what began as one of THOSE notes turned out fine, and now it is time for you to post until the fine cows come home.

ends like a fairy tale . . .

I am tired.  I suppose I'll go to Donald's - it will only take ten minutes and I'll come right back home.  Tonight I will definitely write the notes early and schedule and get to bed no later than eleven.

So, I'm eating my breakfast and reading Marni Nixon's book.  Almost choked on my peanut butter toast when I read:  "The rented house on Chesley Avenue was owned by a woman whose niece, Virginia Ellis, was the child prodigy of the area."

Before I married Richard, my name was Virginia Ellis, but I was not a child prodigy.

Perhaps you are just being modest!

I'm off to the theater.  I need to be there early to help set up our little concessions area...and I do mean little.  It's a tiny table at the front entrance of the theater.  We will just have candy bars for a $1 donation.  Tonight is our only preview with an audience and then we open tomorrow!

Be back later!

Nothing political meant by this.  Just noting the protestors and demonstrators were loud enough that we could hear them on the 16th floor.

I now know why I like the chemistry between Tea Leoni and Tim Daly, they are dating.  I just wish I liked MADAM SECRETARY more than I do.

I did not know this.  But I love the show.
